I actually do think Aldo has potential to be a 2nd division champ and get the belt at 135...but I think he should go back to 145 and try get the topuria fight aldo's style would match up really well with topuria
@GurdityaSarai2 ай бұрын
i think he can be 2 division champ but no way hes beating topuria they are technically very similar in skill but topuria is a lot stronger and more powerful also aldo is always faster than his opponents but ilia will probably be just as fast as him . aldo has only actually been finished by elite boxers like conor max and yan topuria beats current aldo pretty easily but prime aldo would have shown him levels

@@GurdityaSarai Aldo has been working his boxing since he retired and he's even competed in boxing since leaving mma. He was training with pro boxers and they were saying aldo could be pro boxer and win fights that's coming from actual pro boxers who said aldo has good boxing. Check out aldo's boxing training he's able to compete with pro boxers in sparring. And I know aldo leg kicks would be a weakness of topuria for sure it would slow topurias movement he can't come forward and keep running around for long if aldo takes the legs out. And aldo's grappling defence is some of the best in the entire sport if frankie edgar and mendes had no luck against aldo with grappling then topuria definitely won't either. In terms of speed I think aldo is also really fast and aldo so far has only really struggled against guys like max and volk who put a lot of pressure on him and topuria doesn't fight like that topuria is a counter striker he doesn't put much pressure on guys he lets the other guys come forward most the time and topuria slowly creeps his way forward closing the distance very slowly so you don't see it coming. I don't see topurias style working on aldo really but on paper it should work very well against max that's just on paper though because max comes forward a lot.

@@GrowingDownUnder i agree (prime aldo is the fastest fighter in ufc history)but topuria is just as fast as current aldo with a significant power advantage. to beat topuria ,aldo has to be perfect for 25 mins while topuria needs 1 punch. i know that aldo is definitely not getting taken down (also best tdd in ufc history) but he doesnt throw leg kicks anymore if he did he would probably win but he doesnt also he will probably gas out and ilia will catch him. you saw how he charged towards volk and knocked him out i want aldo to win . i would really love to see him beat ilia but i dont think he can right now. my prediction is ilia by r4 ko. also aldo is small for featherweight now

LEGEND. Don't care what anybody says. The fact he's reinvented himself all these years later and taking on young, hungry up and comers says it all. Shoutout Jose Youngs, great questions.

@@ozzee5094 according to the statistics, he landed 20 head strikes, 10 body strikes, and a wapping 27 devastating leg strikes, knees to the thigh that crippled Aldo's movements and left stings for him to endure that night Aldo went home... Limping.... Aldo did not defend well against the clinch and didn't have the grit to fight for under hooks and break the grip, but instead succumbed to the position... @@joshgonzales1599 so according to your logic those who haven’t been watching the ufc since 1993 are casuals. So I guess ilia topuria is a casual of mma since he wasn’t even alive then even though he’s the current champ
