Out of all the achievements jose has made no one talks about probably his biggest one. In 2001 he took a team in Portugal that was 20th in the league. Close to relegation and he took over and brought them to the 3rd place in front of Porto. Ironically that's how he got the Porto job

Leiria weren't bottom of the league, they weren't even a bottom half team in Portugal at the time. You might be confusing him with AVB who did take over Academica from bottom, or around the bottom, and got them mid table. Mourinho's stock as an assistant was quite high & he'd proven himself capable in his brief time at Benfica, he wasn't gunna start that low down the food chain.

You can see Pogba signing isn't working for utd, the record transfer for utd. Why is that so? Is Mourinho too dumb to sign him? I think the reason is Zlatan. Pogba is very good at long ball, so as Zlatan. But after Zlatan gone, you can see there is none in utd who can support him now. So, pogba flop. Pogba's and other players' frustration is legit, so as Mourinho's. But I think if they both had sacrificed their ego and backed up each other, then the story would have been different.

He is one of the greatest of all time and as a coach I resonate with him not wanting to be a player, but more so a coach. I dont think he's the best coach ever (pep is), dont think he's the best manager ever (ancelotti is) but he is by far the most loved by the clubs he coached. Pep and Ancelotti dont evoke that kind of love from the fans of the clubs they coached. The guy is a genius! Not sure if the the other 2 I mentioned could achieve what he did with so called smaller clubs.
