I honestly hope that Hall Of the Machine King is a more open world type game compared to Boneworks and Bonelab, almost like a more story driven SCP-3008. Having to traverse a large abandonned company warehouse type building while fighting off weaker robots, finding new weapons, progressing the game, and avoiding larger robots that you can't kill yet just seems like a fun and also scary game.

For the mirrors, making a separate, "mirrored" room to simulate reflections without rtx has been used is game development for as long as I've been alive. However, as far as game lore goes, the reflections are physical void entities that mimic whats in front of the mirror. And I'm probably oversimplifying that.

The x symbol that you see is referring to one of the cryptids seen throughout the game and in boneworks, the end part, we’re given a gravity manipulator on the wall next to it. There’s writing that says your welcome signed by x with a monkey next to it which is inferred to be the sign of the cryptid.

Jimmy actually also drives in circles while taking you to the menu, I figured this out when I was messing around with the car. One of the things I did was spawn a nullbody and see what happened when jimmy hit him. To my surprise, I saw that same nullbody a little while after.

The 'half room' looks like a reference to the film Brazil, which features a pretty similar corridor and room set up (the protagonist is forced to share half his desk with someone on the other side)

Sorry if this is already mentioned but Im pretty sure I know what the desk halfway through the wall is. Theres a scene in the movie "Brazil" where the main character getrs a desk job in a small cramped office and a tiny desk. He soon finds out that the desk isnt small, the other half of the desk is fed through the thin wall to an identical office where another worker tries to pull the desk to get more space. The joke is rather than pay for 2 desks, the company created a wall dividing the space in half so they could have 2 workers with the same desk and not have to pay for another one. Look at the scene the size/layout of the rooms is almost identical.

Fun Fact!: The mirror is just a RigManager. The RigManager is a system that copies all of your movement and is only available when you are in range of the mirror. instead of inverted cameras, many 3D VR game devs like me use RigManagers because they are easy and best for development. However a mod came out that allows you to spawn a RigManager(basically a clone)

The mummification I didn't expect, I'm sure it's just to add more to the fantasy ascetic but mummifying someone also impels they were important as it was done to pharos, and it is a long and gulling process. But there are also graves from the other villagers that were shown when you come back to fight. Maybe they possibly ran out of space or it's a preference?

Jay would have been a different character entirely if the cut broadcast where kept. This was probably super early development like, when we first saw that project 4 image early, they imply that he does not know he is in a simulation which could mean he was forced there, or he got his memory wiped. This was more than likely changed because us the player would know what MythOS is and jay not knowing would be a little weird and not give us a reason to connect with him like compared to the release version. But since the void contains different timelines this would be an interesting version to explore and would be a nice contrast to ford's doubles not really meaning anything.

Project 4 books can be found around the maps, i think there is one in the secret lab in tuscany (for those of you wo don't know where it is you have to grab a keycard from the statue in the town the fly from the back of the house to the back of the map there will be a door and the lab is there)

Idk about that first one. It could be the SCP symbol, but the SCP is two horizontal parallel lines with X in between. The symbol, everywhere you see it in game, is |x| which is the symbol for absolute zero. No idea what absolute zero would mean in the context of Bonelab, but its more similar to the symbol fot absolute zero than it is to the SCP symbol

wait what if bonelab is a sequel to boneworks? because if you spawn in the void choosing the avatar that means ford wants to change his appearence, also at the end of boneworks we go through fantasy land, and jimmy wong says something like: end is the start, that means we beaten boneworks and we spawn in the void and the void allows us to make a new life and we're back in the fantasy land and as game goes on it gets more futuristic, but boneworks get's less futuristic,that means ford is going in circles stuck in a simulation
