To all you more-ons still saying Canseco didn't need steroids, these are his OWN WORDS from his book JUICED. "The public needs to be informed about the reality of steroids and how they have affected the lives of many star baseball players, including ME. Have I used steroids? You bet I did. Did steroids make me a better baseball player? OF COURSE THEY DID. If I had to do it all over again, would I lead a steroid-enriched life? YES I WOULD. Do I have any regrets or qualms about RELYING ON CHEMICALS TO HELP ME HIT A BASEBALL SO FAR? To be honest, no, I don't."

His bat speed was and still is phenomenal. He obviously didn’t need PED’s to swing a bat like that. That’s all innate talent. You could argue that steroids may have even been a slight detriment to his mechanics. But, those home-runs he hit off the end of the bat or where he was tied up inside and still managed to go yard, would probably have only been fly balls without the juice.
