I've always said this. He never said " I'm the special one" and he never said it as a one liner either. " I don't want to sound arrogant but I'm a European champion so I'm not one of the bottle ( as in one amongst many other coaches) I think I'm a special one ( so a special coach. With the likes of Ferguson. Wenger and the other top coaches at the time.) Then the media took that completely out of context saying he called himself the special one. However I'm here to say he definitely is The special one for many reasons. Career. Trophies. Character. Personality. One of the most honest person in a very dishonest football world. Lone wolf mentality. He just is unique

I dont think we will ever see someone emerge like Mourinho ever again from a club like Porto and then win back to back titles in the Prem. I think his greatest achievement was overcoming the great Barcelona side to win La Liga, i don't think he gets enough credit for how hard that was.
