This was a great interview. Jose displayed being humble, honest, polite, and honest. I was approached by his Godfather Armando Mancinas about getting the boxing gym and after-school learning center approved. The building at the time was empty and was under the ownership by the City of Avenal. I was the Mayor at the time, and I had the support of the City Manager Melissa Harriman. I rallied and got the approval of the council members. Jose, boxing showmanship has brought recognition to the city and gave the youth to never give up on your dreams. Gracias Jose!
