A most sensitive and artistic performance, Kirill, of this 1910 work from Jongen: bravo! I have read that the Opus 37 works are unique in the organ repertoire due to their 'multi-hybrid' genre - Wagnerian in flow, but French in atmosphere. You can sense the links with Franck, a sense of restraint, pensiveness, concentrated emotion, delicacy of feeling, and a dislike for the flamboyant. Although you can hear echoes of Franck's Priere, this composition by Jongen has a freshness and a new insight, and the passages in the minor key afford a wonderfully whimsical nature to the music. You clearly put a lot of work into this performance and the result is most satisfying.
