And he sang it crazy, as befits the role being portrayed of the monster Scarpia; Cornell Macneil did Scarpia this way too. Terrific. Martinis is at the top of her game too, plus the ever versatile Rudi Schock and the great conductor Scheuchter. Great at Symphonic repertoire too because the pit orchestra is the Symphony conductor's best training ground. Precision and timing cannot be learned adequately in a couple of years at the conservatory.
