Josef Sudek is the best photographer of all time, I’ve haven’t changed my mind in 10 years, he photographed everything one could do with a camera with utmost delicacy, his images are timeless. Portraits, landscapes, still lives, architecture, even his commercial photographs are very good. Many photographers made very good timeless images, but Sudeks produced them like a factory. No one could see things the way he was seeing things. Any time I get bored with my photography or with other photographers I go back to Sudek for inspiration and it never fails to making me pick up the camera again.

Thank you for this jewel. A chance visit to a Sudek exhibit as a student solely inspired my 25+ yr career working in photography and film. This tugs me right in the heart.

A 75 year career! I had no idea he began when he was 5. A few more pictures of Sudek's work and many less of the narrator would make it more worthwhile.

Prague was not ravaged by war, 3:22 as a matter of fact it was one of the few cities in WWII to be spared the mass destruction that befell most of Europe.
