The game uses different artists throughout the game to create certain characters. The main party, that being Zeke, Rex, Nia, Morag, and Tora, and their respective blades, were designed by the main designer. Jin, and the rest of the Torna blades, were designed by Tetsuya Nomura, led artist of the FF, KH series, if that helps at all

@@shinypikagaming Yes it's an aux core called disguised pyra. Its functionally the same thing as a critical up 5. It's unlocked through the challenge battle dlc. You can also unlock 3 special blades though 2 are exclusive to challenge battles until post game. You can also put every character in swimsuits. Ironically pyra shows less skin in her swimsuit than her default outfit.

the combat dialogue is the primary reason I changed the voices to Japanese for my playthrough. Makes it much more bearable. Also because Rex's english VA was apparently recording in his apartment with neighbors who kept complaining because he *cannot scream* and it made any somewhat intense moment just... just awful.

PapaJohns Oh no. This is hilarious to watch. There are two types of cutscenes. One where it's more dynamic and cinematic, and one where they used preset animations. Due to budget reasons, most of the cutscenes use preset animations, which is used in every RPG. Stuff like that isn't really an issue. When it comes to the cinematics and action cutscenes, the Xenoblade games are amazing when it comes to cinematography, camera angles, and syncing the scenes with the kick-ass music. I think too many people focus on the stuff they don't like than appreciating the things this game does well.
