Just so we're on the same page because this is through text. You're referring to what sounds like a (Sanshin), the string/strung instrument? If so, that instrument, let's call it (resets) every 16th note (1 e and a, 2 e and a, 3 e and a, 4 e and a, 1 etc etc) it's in sync with the downbeat, every time the music goes to the 1, the 2, the 3, the 4.(ref. Above🔼) you'll hear the strung instrument hit the down beat(first beat you hear of the song "Chhhh") . .... Ok.... Franky Dee cut the phrase, the bar short. He didn't allow it to come to a "completion" ... Unfinished sentence, you can also see him try and catch or finsh the rest of the (phrase, sentence, bar) he misses the "3 e and a" then attempts to catch the "4" with his finger/hand. That's why. Love and respect. One. 🙏🏾

​@@freeofstyle365 Lets just call it a difference of opinion. In my eyes he's playing with two flows, that string sounding instrument and the drums. He switches between the two in a continuous flow thats not set in counts. From what your perceiving as not finishing the sentence is just him hitting the drum in between, you can see he continues to play the string instrument with his finger right after, and then ending the combo on the next drum hit with his footwork. I can see how you'd view it as him trying to catch up, but without thinking about numbers and sound counts just focus on the dancers feeling and intentions, just because he paints the picture different from you doesn't mean its wrong

@@3973555. I never said it was wrong, im simply giving an explanation as to why there was a weak reaction. It leaves you hanging, it doesn't fill the void ..hence the weak reaction, hence very few ppl making noise. Everything is set in counts when talking about Music🎶 whether the artist is aware or not, it's what happens on those counts, and inbetween counts,that creates the art form.(On the 1!) Tap dancers (accompanied by a band) dance on what you can and cannot hear and fill in the void with their own rhythms/beats. With all that said of course, yes, i agree, Feeling always comes first without emotion there can be no motion. Love and Peace to you 🙏🏾.

It is a freestyle battle so the dancers don't know the songs beforehand. DJ just plays what he likes.
