Haydn’s two visits to England were closer to 18 months than a year,* but more importantly, covered the 1791 and 1792 London concert seasons on the first trip, and the 1794 and 1795 seasons on the second one. * 1st visit: Haydn arrived in England on 1 January 1791, and got back to Vienna (according to Pohl) 24 July 1792. 2nd visit: Arrived in London on 4 February 1794 and left on 15 August 1795.
