Something I've been saying for ages, is that you'll always get controversial scoring whilst the boxing authorities frown on judges scoring a round drawn. That means that if a round is even, one judge will score for fighter A, whilst another judge will score for fighter B. Factor in twelve rounds and the result is that it's not surprising that a close fight 'in the ring', will produce wildly differing cards at the end. I see this happen all the time, and the fault is not with the judges but the instructions given to the judges to find a 'winner' in every round. If an even round was actually scored correctly, you'd get a much more representative overall result once the fight is over.

I dont think its politics at all. All we learnt from this fight is Chisora can't box, parker can't defend or move well and can only box in tiny flurries. Stylistically never going to be a great fight, overall Chisora busier, although far too many shots to the back of the head, including the knockdown. Most of his work goes into the gloves and arms, parkers work was better but its only ever 2/3 shots max and then nothing. Not much of a spectacle but 115-113 to Parker seems fair

@blackknight10133 жыл бұрын
Very, very simple. AJ went into that fight thinking about unification with Wilder. When he saw that Parker was just sitting waiting to counter him over the right and that he was easy controlling him with the jab he didn't bother to commit to his right hand. He threw soooo few in that fight. Ref didn't help at all though breaking them up instantly all teh time.

I’ve never been convinced about AJs one shot power. For me he hit exactly as hard as a man of his size and musculature should hit.That meant everything he hit you with got your attention but it was the fact that he could put them together that finished you.I’ve never been convinced he’s got cut your strings sniper shot power. His best shot certainly looks like the uppercut and that suggests he relies on his muscle for power rather than snap and leverage of real punchers.
@victorsupreme2143 жыл бұрын
Whyte headbutted Parker down the first time, Parker was concussed after and got dropped later on same fight but got up like it was nothing. Chisora's knockdown he hit him in the back of the head and as Parker kind of went to roll with it Chisora's arm followed through on Parker's back pushing him forward where Chisora's left leg was in the way so he pretty much got hit in the back of the head and pushed and tripped up all in one motion. Ruiz hit Parker flush many times and it didn't faze him, AJ didn't even bother trying - if they stood and exchanged blows Parker would have won he is far more durable than AJ and why would AJ risk it, his reach advantage and jab was winning anyway, smart win by AJ that fight it literally came down to negating each other's advantages (speed and durability vs size and power) with the longer reach of AJ really being the winning factor, although AJ has effective punching technique more than raw power.

No issues if you had Parker winning by a round or so but I think with the momentum Chisora had, even in his tired rounds Chisora would push Parker back and keep things uncomfortable for him. Coming out this fight, my concern is for Parker because we’ve seen him struggle with Several styles. If I was in his team, I’d advise him to avoid the rematch in favour of targeting a highly touted prospect like Agjaba. I don’t like Joe against Uysk, Wilder, Hunter, Joyce, or the rematches against Ruiz and Whyte. Must have watched a different fight. Didn't see the head movement. Parker caught a lot of those "body shots" on the gloves (or he's got abs of steel). 2nd half the fight Chisora was so gassed he didn't throw. Parker's jab landed at will from end of round 5. Thought the Howard Foster card was the most shocking :(

@Anonymous Honestly I don't know, byass I guess buddy. Only human after all. My thoughts are I don't know what they teach at school anymore anatomy wise but ears are smaller then boxing gloves and although Del clipped parkers ear true but the rest of the glove came into contact with the rear parietal bone regarding the knockdown and yeah you can argue that either way clean or not but alot of the punches that came afterwards were aimed far further around the back of the head and were clearly intentional from Del. We've all cut distance on a hook so it shoots behind us but Del isn't only missing while Parker's cutting but he's adjusting and bending at the wrist and elbow more intentionally trying to strike the back of Parkers head. And the ref didn't even take a point from Del add that to a ludicrously small ring giving del every advantage then honestly I can see why a neutral judge would look to find Parker rounds, plus del is an arsehole. Parker will need to start letting his hands go a little more and pivoting in the rematch because they will try these dirty tricks again in the rematch.
@cosmicjack12153 жыл бұрын
@Anonymous I couldn't agree more Parker does need more killer instinct, you would of thought someone trying to give him brain damage would bring that out but maybe he simply hasn't got it. After that knockdown you could see he clearly wasn't hurt (which speaks volumes) but his expression said it all. Almost thinking aloud at the ref saying: Really are you counting that? Too him he obviously thought it was back of the head but never spoke up or put pressure on the ref to do his job which he and his corner should have. I'm a Brit saying this, but I don't know why other Brits aren't speaking up objectively of how dirty del was and how the ref wasn't up to the job of keeping him clean, it's embarrassing. Not even Hatman wants to draw attention to it too much just say how the hooks were looping over like it wasn't intentional at all. Ridiculous
@cosmicjack12153 жыл бұрын
@Anonymous Yeah I'm not a fan either. Chisora is that typical kinda bully, yeah sure he says some nice things nowadays trying to show more humility because life handed him his arse a few times but deep down he will always revert to type when under pressure and that's a golden plated 100 carrot Wanker of epic proportions but he brings the pain and for now is the gate keeper to the elite level of the division. The test. He's entertaining and don't mind taking or bringing pain and even when ironed out it doesn't seem to dent his confidence and probably still thinks he should of won and the world's against him. So he'll get plenty more paydays because people like Eddie can find a way of making money out of guys like that because guys like that literally can't do anything else until their brain dead. And your right about Usyk, I remember him looking at the ref and realising in England the ref will literally let the UK fighter get away with murder so he just went to the next level and handled it which was impressive. I like Parker, he has great potential but I've seen so many never achieve their potential because their mindset is too kind/fair to a fault. I hope he's not one of them. Loved Tua, love to of seen him Destroy Del.

I always thought Whyte would be the next Chisora as a gatekeeper but Parker has definitely decided to take that mantle. I think Chisoras corner targeted the body and it was a mistake! It consumed too much energy to target the body! He should develop his jab, I didn't see it till the 10th, it scores points and sets up range and other options, but the POLISH judge was watching another fight!! Scoring a 111/116!!! I think Chisora needs to KO Parker!! Parker is always better on the Judge's eye's than Chisora. Nobody thinks Parker is better than Usyk! I don't think Joyce is better than Usyk , but I don't see Usyk stopping Joyce for 12 rounds!! Parker did exactly what I expected, he waited till Chisora tired and won most of the later rounds! But feel for Del boy! Rematch coming soon??
@antoniomosley94103 жыл бұрын
You don't know boxing if you think body shots takes up energy. It's easier to aim for the body than the head since the body doesn't move and Chisora was doubling up his jab multiple times to get on the inside.

Parker won, but very narrowly. Derek win the first 4, drew the fifth. Parker won up to the 11th and Chisora won the 12th. Parker looked a little heavy.
@dicedavis843 жыл бұрын
By that math, with a 10-8 round and 4 rounds plus the 12th that gives chisora 6 rounds so you actually have a draw. The rounds Parker did win he won cleanly but to me it wasn't enough as I had chisora winning the first 5 including the 10-8 and the 12th so won by one round.
@victoriousko13 жыл бұрын
@@dicedavis84 as much as you might be right, rounds are subject to interpretation. Unfortunately, we don't judge the fight, the judges do. I felt Parker just edged it.
