I sang this song at my Farewell as my closing remarks. To me it represented the young man going on a mission who was nothing more than a little bit of everyone of the people in my ward who had helped shape me and mold me. To me it meant they were going with me on that incredible, unforgettable journey.

I too sang this at my Mission Farewell. Meeting Kenneth Cope and hearing it live when he first introduced "My Servant Joseph" holds my heart still and the spirit bears witness of Joseph's mission. Unfortunately some friends have fallen away but I still know Joseph saw what he saw. "GO with Me" still rings powerful.

I remember this song the first time i heard it was in the mission field, that song drives me back to the days of my mission in the Dominican Republic. Thanks a Lot for this great song.

I know right! At my mission we even translated and played it live for investigators. We had it for months and Sunday after Sunday the Stake Center was fully packed.

My husband was born to Baptist missionaries in the Dominican Republic! We met in Houston, TX after he engaged in fervent prayer to receive direction to the spiritual path he'd long sought and was so bold as to ask God, if it was His will, to have it revealed to him by someone with whom he could spend the rest of his life. He then went downstairs from his room at the YMCA and, upon seeing me on the front steps, his FIRST WORDS to me were, "What church do you go to?" (He later jokingly described this as, "the best pickup line I ever used!") After discussing the gospel for some 15 minutes, he finally got around to asking my name. I wasn't offended in the least! He proposed marriage three months later; we were eventually sealed in the beautiful San Diego Temple. When did you serve in the D.R.?

I think I world be happy there, but a family friend who moved from there to New Mexico told me I wouldn't like it when she visited his remaining family in Houston one Christmas. She didn't say why, she didn't know me at all, and at the time I thought it would be rude to ask why she thought so. David's family lived in Hato Mayor.

we've had Mormon Miracle pageant protesters of whom I have made friends but they question Joseph's prophetic mantle. Nevertheless, I always bear witness that he was a prophet and the Spirit testifies so potently of the veracity of my words :)

I just noticed the image where Joseph dries the young boy's tears while his sister smiles. That story was depicted in the Nauvoo Pageant as was his interaction with Jane Manning. He was such a great man. His biography by Richard Bushman shows that you don't have to be perfect, you just have to try and be better as one of Christ's disciples everyday. That's all Father asks :)

Unlike every other Christian Faith, Mormonism teaches us that Christ is the example of which we can all become.. not some far off entity that we can never relate to.. also through revelation, god can personally commune with us in everyday life
