Soon after Indian independence in 1947, the country was faced with an alarming shortage of food grain. The Indian government urgently requested both USA and USSR to send in food aid. While, the American officials were working on the modalities for food grain aid, working out its terms and conditions, when the Indian request reached Kremlin, USSR, Stalin immediately ordered a food-grain laden ship that was already on its way to a different destination, to change course and go to India. A top Kremlin official intervened saying that documents are yet to be completed and signed, to which Stalin said _"Documents can wait, hunger cannot”_ (Indian diplomat, P. Ratnam disclosed the above conversation to a group of journalists at the Indian Embassy in Moscow in 1950)

@@morningstararun6278 when did he say that like which year ? Also who did USA and Britain help Hitler (economically and and money) ? The Germans advance in science and technology was certainly not by USA and Britain... how did they develop his army ? By money or what ? I am pretty sure Hitler was doing things behind their backs! There's no way they'd allow him to be that much of a threat...

@@user-gs5pi3rf2g Don't tell me you don't the fact, that the Molotov - Ribbentrop pact was the last in the series of pacts that preceded it. There were at least a dozen non aggression pacts between Nazi Germany and France, UK etc. Wanna know how Stalin knew Hitler's ultimate goal was USSR? Read the Mein Kampf. Hitler clearly says in that book that he wanted to destroy Communism. Not just Stalin every single one in Europe knew it. That is why when Hitler rose to power in Germany, he destroyed communists and communist party. At this point in history, the UK and US had good relations with Hitler because of his aversion to Communists. Germany was not allowed to build or even replenish their Naval and Air force as per the agreement made at the end of world war 1 which Germany lost. But guess who helped Hitler not to give a shit about these agreements? Britain. Especially Chamberlain(UK Prime Minister at that time) had a fruitful relations with Hitler and allowed Hitler to takeover Austria with his military might. The same UK kept their mouth shut when Hitler later invaded Czechslovakia. Ever wonder why would Britain and even US would allow Hitler to take parts of the western europe? Because stopping Hitler would directly impact the business interests of the capitalists in US and UK. Until they really believed Hitler went out of control to get hold of the entire western europe, UK acted out. But by then Hitler was already able to blitzkreig through any west european nations like he wanted, which is how France, even with the help of Britain surrendered to Germans like they didn't fight at all. After that happened was the Aerial war between German and Brits. Both the sides faced severe loses, and Hitler knew of the disadvantage of having to fight only in the air, as the strait of Dover lies between the Nazi army and England. Hitler was only going to invade USSR after the defeat of Britain, but the strait of Dover forced him to skip to the ultimate target of USSR. So saying Hitler was doing things behind the backs of western leaders is a loaded crap. UK and US leaders knew exactly what he was doing. But they were not gonna act until Hitler goes against the business interests of UK and US. Eventually Hitler did go against their interests and regretfully these imperialist nations who are no better than Hitler supported USSR with their fight against Nazi Germany. But even by then, US never agreed to help USSR. It was the pearl harbor attack by Japan that made USA enter the WW2.

@@morningstararun6278 I heard Hitler wanted to give Stalin the most beautiful mansion in Germany as a prison because he earned his respect after the battle of Stalingrad, is that true ? @morningstararun6278
@morningstararun6278 Жыл бұрын
@@user-gs5pi3rf2g I don't think that Hitler wanted give Stalin a mansion because he earned his respect. Stalin and Hitler hated each other to the core. They had no respect towards each other. It is a Neo liberal propaganda saying Stalin and Hitler had mutual respect. Totally untrue. Hitler's biggest enemies were Communists and Jews. His ultimate aim was to capture USSR. That is why communists were murdered in Germany the moment Hitler rose to power(Same happened in Italy). USA and Brits had no problem with Hitler as long as he didn't affect their business. That is why UK prime minister Chamberlain praised Hitler and met with him often even after he invaded Austria and Czech. This was the start of the world war 2. But Neo Liberals would say that WW2 started when Hitler invaded Poland. But unlike these western leaders, Stalin or USSR never had any trade ties or business deals with Germany. Once the Communists were massacred in Germany by Hitler, all the ties USSR had with Germany came to an end. This was in 1934. Stalin had made unofficial requests to western leaders to stop lending money to Hitler, as he knew this crazy is going to eventually start war. You know how Stalin knew it, he read Hitler's book Mein Kampf, where he wanted to destroy communists and he personally believed Russian revolution was organized by Jews. Western leaders were happily aligning with Hitler as long as he to destroyed Communists and Unionists in West Europe. Invasion of France went against UK's well being. So they were forced to wage war against Germany. That is all.

@@morph054 No you don't understand so many things. Sometimes the role of a person has greater effects in the development of a country. You know who was the most famous American president ever? Franklin D. Roosevelt. He had been elected thrice and it was a record not broken till date. Why was re-elected again and again? Because of the Social security policies he did. So many beautiful public parks you see today happened because of his employment scheme. He was the only president who had the guts to tax the rich during great depression(Although he did because of Communists and Unionists in US back then). And when he died in 1945, an idiot named Harry S. Truman hunted communists and Unionists inside US and Stalin's image which was Uncle Joe during Roosevelt's time, became a mass murderer and a psychopath. I am not one bit discrediting the workers contribution. They were the reason USSR happened. But bad leaders like Krushchev did get USSR into so many trouble. You really believe Krushchev would have sent his sons to fight WW2? Stalin did. And when one of his son got encircled along with an entire troop of Red army by Nazis, Stalin didn't compromise anything and had to lose his first son. No special treatment for his son. On the other hand you had Churchill who beautifully dressed his daughter in a Military outfit but prevented her from ever entering a danger zone with Nazis.

Or George Bush who destroyed Iraq and created all the conditions for strengthening the terrorists in the middle East? If it wasn't for Stalin, the whole world would have turned into a big Auschwitz with billions of corpses. I will also remind you that under Stalin,after 1945, Eastern Europe flourished and did not experience any financial problems. The population of Latvia and Estonia did not die out at a monstrous rate as now, and the population of the Soviet Union itself grew at a high rate (145 million people in 1929, 164 million people in 1937 - these data are freely available and are even available in Wikipedia). No national hatred, the normalized cost of food and medical services, free education for ALL citizens, the development of industry and agriculture. As for the "repression", during the entire period of Stalin's rule, only 728 thousand people were sentenced to capital punishment (most of them were bandits, thieves, radicals and Nazi collaborators), and the total number of repressed people does not even reach two million people (including those people who were dismissed from office or deprived of a monetary bonus) - i.e., this is 1.8% of the entire population of the USSR. I would like to remind you that in a" safe"," prosperous " democratic country (the United States), about 14 MILLION arrests are made per year, of which more than two million have serious criminal penalties. At the same time, the population of the United States today is 300 million people. The population of the USSR in 1937-1938 is 170 million people, and it was in these years that the largest number of arrests occurred - 750 thousand people a year (for all administrative and criminal articles). Thus, the repression in the United States even now exceeds the repression that was in the USSR in the 30s of the 20th century.

1:47 - The editing in this video is so good. Just look at this. It alternates between Stalin moving his head and marching soldiers, as if he is watching them march. And it's even synchronized with the song. It also has a very consistent style. When the higher chorus sings, the focus is on Stalin. When they sing "oooooh", it then diverts to his context, to the people, to the soldiers, the farmers, the machinery, the people around him, and representations of him (such as statues, banners, and other personality cult things). This is done with mostly short shots changing synchronized to the rythm of the music. During instrumentals and the lower chorus, it focuses on long shots about his context, and when they sing "Stalin!" it quickly cuts to Stalin. This gives rythm to the video, along with the music, and builds expectations on the viewer for each segment. There are exceptions, of course, like in 3:06 when they say "Stalin!" and it's still showing the burning building from the previous segment for the sake of not interrupting communication (there are also many instances of this kind of exception). I also love how the video escalates from farmers and parades, to gradual shows of military power, to culminate on the invasion of Nazi Germany. The video basically tells a narrative this way. The change of colors after the first half of the video also communicates time passing. Because of the rythm that the video has, and the expectations it causes for each segment, it's also much easier to indentify the progression of the narrative. This is _so_ well edited.

True. Stalin did not like it when someone called himself his student and constantly corrected that we are all student of the great Lenin. Marx and Engels were the greatest theoreticians. Lenin was a great theoretician and politician. Stalin was a great politician and a truly consummate practitioner. Marx and Engels discovered knowledge. Lenin refined this knowledge and created the first state of workers. Stalin strengthened and defended this state of workers in a very unequal battle.

@@eto_el_348 yes. After the success in Vietnam the USSR was at its peak. Red Army was invincible but Yuri Andropov and Brezhnev miscalculated the Afghan crisis. They wrongly thought in 1979 that Afghanistan was falling into the hands of American Allies. And their man in Kabul, Hafizullah Amin a thuggish communist was not an acute leader. He used force against all the islamists despite of the repeated calls from moscow for reconciliation with radicals as the country was religious in nature. USA at that time did not wanted to challenge the Soviets. But the Soviet intervention led them to support covertly Afghan insurgents. Pakistani dictator Zia in all his meetings with the American counterparts would repeatedly say that the Afghanistan must burn at the right temperature because of the fear of Soviet retaliation. But eventually the CIA realized that the Jihadists are inflicting heavy losses on the Soviets. Saudi Arabia too joined the war and generously aided the resistent fighters. China at that time was in intense rivalry with the Soviets and they too supplied aid to the fighters. The leadership on the Kremlin was weak and they did not realized that Afghan society cannot be communized through force only like they did in the balkans and central Asia.
@eto_el_348
@eto_el_348 3 жыл бұрын
@@muhammadsaadurrehman5341 Afghanistan provoked the US from the very beginning. They began supplying weapons to the Mujahideen long before the Soset troops entered. Moreover, the USSR did not want to send troops. Brezhnev was bombarded with requests from Afghanistan to send Soviet troops and only 20th(!) times the USSR agreed. And Afghanistan was not a serious problem for the USSR. All 5 years of the Agana war cost the USSR budget an insignificant 1-5% of the budget, and the death toll was 15k people. Yes, 15k is a lot in absolute numbers, but this is a completely insignificant figure for the power of the Soviet Army with 3 million soldiers. The weakening of the first state of workers and peasants began to occur much earlier and for internal reasons. External pressure, in principle, could not destroy the Soviet Union. I myself am Russian and have been studying for a long time where there was a wrong turn in the development of the Union. And more and more I come to a Marxist approach with Marxist conclusions. The fact is that Russia was a deep rural country in 1917. 85% of the population were peasants. In 1917, the Soviet Republics received a colossal revolutionary impetus under the leadership of the Marxists Lenin, Stalin, Molotov, Malenkov, Kaganovich (there are a lot of them). The Marxist approach to state governance helped to pull the country out of the semi-feudal, agrarian state in the shortest possible time. To industrialize it and withstand all the incredible pressure of the world bourgeoisie. Even Europe, united under the boot of fascism, was unable to break the state of workers, where only yesterday everyone plowed the land on horses. But the huge mass of peasants who came to rule the country had the old, petty-bourgeois, peasant consciousness. The last Marxist in power in the USSR was Stalin. But Stalin's problem was that he was not a theoretician, unlike Lenin (that is why he said that he and the party are all students of Lenin, not Stalin). He tried to solve the problem of further development in his work "Economic problems of socialism in the USSR ", but this is the work of 1952, a year before his death. Beginning with Khrushchev, few people really understood Marxism. A large number of Marxists in the land of peasants simply had nowhere to come from. And these yesterday's peasants, led by Khrushchev, made a right turn in the economy. They stopped the development of the planned model of the economy and began to rely on market mechanisms - cost accounting(хозрасчет) and the Kosygin-Lieberman reforms. The commodity mode of production was not overcome, and this commodity method of production brought the superstructure of the state to its norm - capitalism. The Union was not destroyed from the outside, it was not destroyed as a state at all. The party degenerated into a new bourgeoisie and the traitor Gorbachev (the leader of this degenerated party), who came in 1985, launched market reforms in full (Perestroika), which tore apart the planned economy in several years, plunging the country into total deficit, poverty, the emergence of national conflicts and collapse industry in all the former republics of the Soviet Union. The union was not destroyed, capitalism simply came to it. I described this to you in general terms. The topic is very deep, with many details and nuances. The degeneration of the first state of workers was a very long and multifaceted process.

@@KillerofWestoids well, you are kinda right my comrade. But still to this day we get influenced by the americans only. We learn in history only about the US side, nothing else, brainwash the youth kinda, sadly. We did horrible things, thats for sure and the USSR returned that "favour". My grandpa fought on the eastern front and told me many storys about it... jesus christ a horror movie is nothing against it. The Sad thing is, that we only see how "evil" the east today is now, forced in our throats from the medias. Lets have some real talk, atacking the soviet union was kinda retarded, biggest mistake in history. We burned down cities, you did the same as revenge bcs patriotic stuff, i can understand that for sure. The we follow hitler stuff was a weird thing, he diddnt show his true face until late in the war sadly.
