But he stayed but tbh, if he went home, Then he wouldn't have brought his brothers to Egypt which would mean that God's people would've never became slaves. But on the other hand. Because he stayed in Egypt he helped Egypt through famine, was given the highest power, and learned to forgive his brothers after what they did to him. I believe that he went home his brother's jealousy would probably grow. And they would ACTUALLY killed him. Because you have to remember that after Joseph was sent to Egypt the brothers lied to their father.

A lot of people see/ I was taught that this story was one of G-d setting us down our path though it may not seem like it through the hardships, and while I can see it as that I also see it as someone who by using his gifts and the opportunities given was able to turn such a horrible situation into something great. Sometimes I feel that some people put TOO much faith in G-d thinking he will fix all their problems, but there's a story. I don't remember it completely, but it went something like this. Once there was a man stranded out in the ocean. He prayed for G-d to save him, and soon a boat arrived the people on board offering to help. The man refused saying G-d would save him. This happened twice more with two other transports (I don't remember what they were), and each time refused saying G-d would save him. He died not realizing G-d had sent him three opportunities to save himself. G-d will only do so much for us. It's us who have to take the initiative and forge our own path, or in this case, save ourselves. If everything was destined, if G-d was just pulling our strings like puppets, then where is our free will? We have free will for a reason. Point is things could have turned out very differently had Joseph chose to act differently. Also there's a whole thing about forgiveness and family in the tale, but that's a whole other topic.

@@amykarr6163 he had a great life... he became ruler of all egypt second only to pharaoh. And during this time pharaoh didnt do anything, he only came out of his palace once a year, and during that one day he would deal with all the judgements, crimes, and accusations that happened that year by himself. Joseph ruled every day, his word was law, so while pharaoh was above him, he only came out once a year. Joseph had his own palace, the egyptians built him a tomb which we found, it contained a statue of joseph (red hair blue eyes, and his coat of many colors). He saved egypt from famine, he did everything. The waterway he dug still exists and even to this day the locals still call it the waterway of joseph. He had some bad moments but so do we all. In the end those "bad things" ended up being good. Thats why you cant judge what happens to you as negative, because God has it all figured out beginning to end. Just trust and follow. Like Joseph

Victoria Kendall if remember correctly Moses’s mother put him in a basket and threw him in the Nile river in the hopes that the king or pharaoh would save him from death( at the time they were killing babies of the city) and them kings wife found him outside their palace and took him in. In Joseph’s case, he sold as a slave out of jealousy and not love. The lesson I gathered from Moses was perseverance even through hardship, and the lesson from Joseph was that forgiveness trumps hatred(or holding a grudge). Bothe valuable lessons.
