There are some really pleasing melodies and a tender relationship between the forte piano and harp. The softer and grittier sound of the forte piano might lend itself better to the duet than a modern piano.

I notice strange and mysterious similarities to Mozart's music. It's as if the essence of Mozart's spirit is in this music.

Wolfl grew up in Salzburg and was a student of Leopold Mozart so no surprise there.

I really don't like the fortepiano used in Laure's recordings, but I feel it lends itself well with the harp in this piece.
