It's true that many people minimize the importance of advisers until their own feelings burn them out. A few summers ago, following a protracted divorce, I needed a significant boost to keep my business afloat. I looked for licensed advisors and found someone with the highest qualifications. She has contributed to my reserve increasing from $275k to $850k despite inflation.

In regards to Berkshire, there is some misinformation. Berkshire Hathaway acquired huge stakes in five Japanese trading companies in 2020. (These companies tend to get ignored because they're not officially on the US markets) -The companies are Itochu, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Mitsui, and Sumitomo. - Berkshire's ownership interest in each company now averages more than 8.5%. - The company intends to keep the holdings for the long term.

The truth is, the role of an investment advisor can often be overlooked but should never be underestimated. After facing a significant portfolio loss in 2020 during the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I decided to reach out to an investment advisor. At that time, I had about $126K left in my portfolio. Now, without having to lift a finger, I'm semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and I'm just 10% short of my $1 million retirement goal thanks to my subsequent investments.

I'm uncomfortable with Netflix's valuation and I disagree strongly about LVMH as I think they have not respected their brands at all, they've sacrificed the long-term health of many of their brands for short-term gains, and that is finally being revealed because in this luxury downturn we're seeing it's the brands that didn't dilute and push out too much product that are holding up fine (Hermes and Ferrari), and the ones that did which aren't (chief among whom sits LVMH). Instead, I would change LVMH for Hermes or Ferrari if you wanted to stick to luxury, but more preferably something like a Hims & Hers, Meta or BlackRock depending on which sort of risk you wanted to expose yourself to. Besides those, I largely agree with your views. Google and Amazon in particular seem like the most consensus bullish views heading into 2025, yet I can't help but agree with them.

At 27:00 You seem to forget the 7 Million Teslas already on the roads. Once approved, anyone with a Tesla (using AI4 at first but soon after using AI3 as well I'm sure) can join the robotaxi fleet. And while Tesla may keep some Cybercabs for themselves, people can buy them and operate them for their own profits with Tesla taking a share of the profits. In the case of Cybercap, most of that CapEx will be Tesla buyers paying for the cars not Tesla having to outlay the costs. Lastly, the Cybercab is built for shorter distances and to be as efficient as possible: Meaning, smaller batteries, faster assembly, fewer parts, which all lead to a substantial cut in costs. I think most people underestimate how quickly the robotaxi network can scale once they get the required regulatory approvals.

This might have been the first video that I wasn’t able to listen until the end. I was expecting you to talk about other companies besides the one you hold. But no, you keep talking about the same companies over and over again. This video would have been a lot more interesting if you would have “replaced” the companies you disliked for companies in the same area. Like JPM instead of CITI or Merck instead of Moderna.

I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.

It's very difficult watching hard-earned money dwindle in value. I still hold a good amount of cash earning 4.5% (guaranteed rate until June with Wells Fargo). It's also tough watching the market go up 20% per year and sitting in cash at 4.5%. But I know if the market goes down I will still have money to pay for my daughter's college and have no other debt to speak of so my life wouldn't drastically change. So you have to find that balance - it seems like there is always pain when in stocks and cash. When stocks go up the cash position feels painful and when stocks go down the cash position eases the pain. Always seems like I'm trying to balance those 2 forces - I suppose that's the reason they call it a balanced portfolio.

Moderna is a great value play long term with its pipeline + sheer range of differenr areas its working in and speed of developing vaccines to match new demand with contagions.

It isn't making money. Would you put money that you know isn't profitable? And what products does it have in the pipeline that hold even any remote promise of churning out profits? Of course, covid vaccine was one but its heyday is now way past

15:11 Joe, regarding Citigroup $C … Do you think there is something on the books that is causing it to trade at such a large discount to book?? Could it be that they have unrealized bond losses on the books? And compared to the other big banks, the R.O.E. Is nothing to write home about either !

Thanks for this video and your other videos, love your channel. Would it be fair to say the definition of “deep value” isn’t very deep because of the massive valuation metrics of the overall market? Perhaps moderate value would be a better monitor

Subscriber grows doesn’t matter anymore, growth in and of itself will matter more going forward. Netflix will start to charge money for these special events in the future.

Why dont i get the ai insights in qualtrim?
@JosephCarlsonAfterHoursКүн бұрын
Probably because the company has a lower than $10 billion market cap. However, we're expanding support for AI features to any company above $1b market cap this week.

Adding META and SOUN are smart additions in my opinion. it's all about balancing your risk tolerance with your long-term goals. Partnering with a CFA can help streamline your strategy.

I've been in touch with a financial analyst ever since I started investing. Knowing today's culture The challenge is knowing when to purchase or sell when investing in stocks, which is pretty simple. On my portfolio, which has grown over 90% in a little over a year, my advisr chooses entry and exit orders

I've stuck with SOPHIE LYNN CARRABUS since the pandemic, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field with over two decades of experience, simply look her up.

0:51 I just don't understand the delusion around Tesla being a player in the robotaxi game. They're lightyears behind Waymo at this point.
@expressI0N55 күн бұрын
Look up FSD V13 live recordings to understand its quality. Look at that and consider that hardware for V13 is easily installable with cameras + computer only, costing far less than radar + lidar + cameras + computer that Waymo is using. I wouldn’t say lightyears away from Waymo. Only a matter of time. I personally give it 2 years though I could be wrong.

Have you read Situational Awareness by Leopold Aschenbrenner? If you have, what do you think about it, how might it affect the market and your stocks?

interesting thoughts on Waymo vs Tesla. Tesla has proven they are world class in automation and capex delivery. The behind the scenes investment required for Cybercabs like cleaning/auot charging etc. I think will be Waymo’s achilles heel. Using a jag ipace not designed for automated cab will use people for too long and Tesla will have lower costs
