I like this review because you talk not only about the specs but you also give real-world examples. So funny that you saw a selfie-stick for the first time!

The Nikon D7500 has a maximum ISO sensitivity of 51,200, which can be expanded up to ISO 1,640,000. This capability allows for shooting in very low-light conditions, although image quality might be affected at extreme ISO levels. Nonetheless, the D7500 is quite versatile for various lighting environments!

I watched you giving your review on D810 and now the D4S, I am debating one which one to get since I am updating the body only, I already got my lenses. I am getting so mix reviews, can the D4S do everything the D810 does? What is the best camera for all purposes? I am a multi used photographer, from macro, to land scape, to very low light tunnels, churches and caves and fast motions. Can the D810 perform super in all these situations? Thanks for your insight.

What one should I buy the Nikon D4s or D810 for overall photography? I like to shot in low light, back light, etc, I don't care about video that much, I do mostly still shots, not much action shots.

The colors are otherworldly on the photos through the whole review. Are they raw or JPEGs? Did you set the camera to Vivid to get these colors? We’re the photos directly out of the camera popping like this or edited in post? I ask because I am deciding on a bit older DSLR and spend more money on lenses than a body. I don’t need the mega pixels or 120 fps offered by newer camera today. I do need minimum time fiddling around in post. Time, the most priceless commodity in the game of life. No amount of money can buy you an extra day.

Looks like the standard picture profile. Most sports shooters that used it, shot Jpeg SOOC, in standard profile. Editing was cropping, and levels adjustments if needed. But Active D-lighting in most conditions makes levels adjustments or the need to shoot Raw obsolete. If you own a D4(s) your only concern should be cropping and straightening your images, unless a model needs retouching. You can also create and upload custom picture profiles via NikonPC, making PS and LR nearly obsolete. He's likely shooting straight out of box settings, which are perfect. Standard profile, Large (or medium), Norm., Optimal, sRGB, Active D-lighting norm. He's likely shooting under 12,800 ISO for everything. The resolution he's shooting at is irrelevant, b/c the video is 1080p, even if it were 4K that's only 8mp w/KZbin compression. (Check your screen saturation/vibrancy and set your screen resolution settings to the video settings ie. 1080p or 720p in your cpu display settings otherwise you're stretching pixels) Raw doesn't make a difference. Raw is only for manual exposure recovery before conversion to a readable format. Raw doesn't have a picture profile, but in LR it defaults to standard for preview. Nikon algorithm makes it so there's no visible difference between Raw or Jpeg Large, Fine, Norm, Basic if set to Optimal. You have to export to jpeg, tiff, or png anyway. The only algorithm that has a quality shift is Small+Basic, optimal, and also setting anything to size priority. Raw is only for exposure recovery on the extreme ends. Jpeg fine is for heavy editing. Jpeg norm is for minor editing. Jpeg basic is for light editing and direct to print. In PS there's ways around pasteurization, blocking, other artifacts that come from pushing jpeg files, like editing in 16-bit or 32-bit. However, if you're using Photoshop and create a smart adjustment layer, you're nondestructively editing. Meaning Raw can be a waste of space and time if you understand how your camera works. If you shoot with Active D-lighting on, it's recovering every stop of dynamic range for you, making RAW obsolete. Lastly if you extend the ISO beyond native, turn on AdobeRGB to help maintain color shifts. You can also use it for higher ISO color noise over 1600-12,800. The D4, D4s, DF all have an AA filter, so set sharpness to maximum when shooting Jpeg. Turn on NR in camera to Norm. or High (it's on past 3200 regardless). Nikon does NR before ADC which means it's actually better than trying to do it in post. You may still need post NR but, your starting point is way better. Lastly Ai exists, use it. The D4, D4s, DF all have better noise performance than 95% of new cameras. Have fun if you get one.

@ Wow. That is so much information to try to assimilate. Thank you for sharing and taking the time to write it all out for me. I do appreciate it greatly. I will start by reading up on the Active D-Lighting and getting familiar with it fully. Never did anything much with post production editing, just some color saturation adjustments and brightness adjustments, but will definitely look more into it more. Thank you again.

@NewsIn60Seconds Nikon standard/normal profile has auto tone/saturation/sharpness compensation. It's based on the scene/subject. Other brands use static profiles. This is why you can just shoot straight out of camera jpegs. They've been doing this since the D1. Active D-lighting, targets underexposed and overexposed areas, and adjusts them in camera with a curves adjustment. You should be able to put any Nikon body in P-mode and only worry about composition & exp. -/+ comp . This way you don't miss anything. It's also why you can just shoot Large, Basic, Optimal.

It's a shame that technology is advancing so quickly that photographers can no longer focus on the art of photography, but must become preoccupied with he diversion of new systems and megapixels to stay relevant as photographers. I miss the 35mm film days for those reasons.

Decent video, but 28mins about a camera that has much more detailed reviews in 15 mins also showcasing the frame rate, etc? You seem like a cool guy, well intentioned, but you honestly could have showed more of the camera's capabilities.
