Here's an important tip regarding all fuses. My directional signal stopped working and at another time my blower failed. I pulled the fuse in the panel at the driver's end of the dash, checked the fuse for being blown and corrosion, scrapped the blades with my thumb nail and saw a white substance appear. I whipped them off on a course rage and reinstalled it and I haven't had a problem since. Moisture in some form must get in.

Hello! Great video! I was just wondering if the blower motor ever gave you the issue of it not turning off even with the vehicle off. I also own a 2005 GMC Yukon SLT 4.8l and I already replaced the resistor for the second time but it still keeps running so I am left having to pull the fuse when the Yukon isn't gonna be used. Any tips you can give me?

That’s what happened to me. I turned the Yukon off and the blower kept running full blast.. did u figure out what causes this?

@@jakehodges9819 I ended up getting a new blower motor and resistor(replaced under warranty) and the problem was solved! It took me going to Advance Auto Parts with my blower motor to see that the blower motor was much larger than the replacement. So I guess it was a used replacement blower motor bought from a junkyard or something. The brand new resistor didn't last 2 weeks. Yeah but going back to the actual fix, it took a new blower motor and new resistor installed at the exact same time to solve the issue.

My radio won't go to sleep and kills the battery .it's an aftermarket radio .but wondering ...I had to replace the ignition switch in the steering colum, I aligned the teeth up exactly how the old switches teeth were..could this be the problem ..thanks

Thank you. I have 05 Yukon. Both heaters failed . Front Wires and connector fried. Rear actuator failed. Blistering cold out I've had lots of wiring issues with Chevy. There is a great reset video on KZbin. Now my door lock is failing. I suspect is why my battery is dead after 24 hours.

when you replaced the head unit in the dash, how did you program it?

i drive a 2005 Yukon Denali and i think mine just went bad the other day because i accidently left my truck in accessory mode and came out to a dead battery. I hooked up a charger with the battery still in the vehicle and i heard a bunch of clicking so i took the battery out and charged it that way and when i put the battery back in that's when i noticed my blower motor not working, im going to do the same thing you did and hope it's just the resistor

Cool pointer, back probe the Milwaukee (any) battery contacts and I'll see that they use 3.5v / 13.6 / (18/20v) reference outputs. If you need to wire something with lower voltage ⚡🤙

I've owned many many of the automobiles with this exact system in them and found that it's best to just replace both the motor and the resistor as one can cause the other to go bad after you replace the one that tests as bad. Just sayin'. And most of the time if you look at the connector going into the resistor you will see they are slightly dark or even burnt. Pull the plug out of the resistor and look at the connections. I find they are burnt most of the time.

Can you just run 12volts to the blower pos and neg ?
