I've been dealing with something similar since February 2019. I've tried purchasing many different inserts and a few different shoes, but none helped to relieve my pain. I bought a pack of silicone heel cups and they help with the pressure for a brief bit. I injured my ankle back when I was a kid and it's always been weak since then; however, ever since getting the heel pain my ankle has developed a constant pain that feels like a sprain. I wear a support brace when working, otherwise my ankle just hurts constantly. Is there anything I can do similarly at home? I don't have the money to go to a podiatrist. I'd like to be able to walk without limping/ pain and to not dread getting out of my chair/car seat/ or bed.

I was never offered this. I was told I didn’t have plantar fasciitis for a year. Then when I was injured at dance because I’d continued dancing on it, my foot went black, I had crutches & they MRI’d me to find I had severe plantar fasciitis in my heel. They did physio. It didn’t work. They injected me. It didn’t work. They said there was nothing else they could do, & I haven’t taught dance since. It’s been four years.
