Meh, I was planning on buying this, and I went on my Smart Phone and looked for the app, and it says it's not compatible with my smart phone. Do you need a smart phone to register it, so you can then download the desktop app. I can't download the desktop app to see before I buy the phone, because it says I need to be a registered owner or something.

Via USB-C port on the device. The cable is included and you can plug that to where you can find USB-A port.
