We need all of this in the pc studio software! Not just the app. And if in the app, then all functions, features, edits etc should be possible in landscape. Then maybe we can use a tablet instead of using a small phone screen. Is insta360 listening????

@@granrey a little bit. Have you tried to get all the edit functions of the app into landscape? All of them? But we need all of the insta360 app functions in landscape mode....Or we need all of the insta360 app functions into the pc studio software....and this should include all of the labshot features as well.

@@WiljanWiljan Well I have not tried this app in Samsung dex yet (maybe this weekend) but typically most apps change to landscape mode in it like if you were in a PC.

@tinycamperweltreise unless you try samsung dex is very hard to explain. You can plug the phone to any computer and your pc screen becomes becomes your phone in landscape mode on the screen. I have shown this to other iphone uses and they get very suprised.

The best I've seen about the Insta X4, fanstastic tutorial! One question: how du you get your insta x4 footage so ultra sharp, crisp and christal clear in youtube without any signs of post-(over-)sharpening? your footage looks amazing on youtube, better than any other X4 footage I've seen bevore? do you everything in the insta360 mobile or desktop app? or in final cut pro or davinci? do you enhance the footage eg with topaz video AI (denoising, sharpening, upscaling) or do you some denoising eg with neat video and final sharpening for delivery on youtube? many thanks Mark!

Great vid but what I hate about the app and the studio app for computer is that you can't just add a key frame one frame after the last, meaning you can't just have the view change straight from the rear camera to the front, you have to have it change view over a number of frames so you have to then start to chop the clip...... totally a waste of time if you are doing this often. If this is something I have missed in the app then please correct me. Many thanks for the great vid

360 cameras have a blind spot. Insta 360 uses that blind spot and probably some software to remove the selfie stick.

1:18. musée grevin wax skin rendering, stamped face ... Killed DOF transition...Since they started to hard process to separate front subject and background to control backlighting, incrustation ,background effects, etc ... I just see some regression. Yes I know it is an action cam, but any Sony or Panasonic camcorder does shooting zillions times better. i hope they will once concentrate on optics bitrate and encoding and don't make a recomposed marmelade from exploded autopsy :) anyways, thanks for your reviews ! ( I used to have an ST, you are man of taste ;) ) update ; it is the most visible each time you have nude skin : arms, face, etc... the kanguru shaking jump around 5:24 given by stick flexibility , on motorbike, is not usable ;( any way to suppress it in post prod ?

I need to use the desktop app due to my phone being so old, plus it outputs higher quality I believe, please Insta make them equal (phone + desktop). Also I want to edit on a large screen as I'm an old git now..

This new update has a bug .. when u capture timelapse and stop after 30 or 40 minutes the camera freezes and doesn't respond at all. The light flashes as if it's capturing .. finally when u restart the camera all the captures timelapse is lost ..

I just did a Timelapse for about 2.5 hours @ 5 second intervals and it worked great.

Are there any key differences between the android studio app and the desktop version? Or to put it another way are the there things I can only do on the desktop version? I am looking at buying the X4 but don't currently have a PC / laptop.

Yes there are.. As he stated, he is sure that the new features he described in this video he is sure will make it to the desktop app eventually. Insta360 tends to update the mobile app(iOS and Android) faster than the Desktop version. That said, these are huge files so you will eventually want to get a computer to at least dump your footage from the SD card to.
