Simon's mum died shortly before this. Also he said afterwards that he didn't want to bring it up in the judge's comments as he wanted it to be about Josh and not 'steal the limelight' from him.
@ЛукасМаринус4 жыл бұрын
Some people really think verbal communication is the most important whilst it is super irrelevant. Simon did do everything superproperly, he winked he expressed nonverbally the great real of emotion and staged it for Josh, there could not have been more respect and love for the auditionee. Only thing he could have shared as love to the other judges, after Josh left the room, "This is why we make x-factor, he is better than boyband material" but he didnt want to offend the other judges and had to make way for his private issue.

I dont watch the X FACTOR or shows of that ilk, I was lucky enough to just stumble upon this tonight ...I then went to Labrinths cut, both amazing renditions...This song is beautifully written.Ive been playing the two versions all night. Labrinths is earthier, choppy...at least the original cut.Josh cut a sweeter, emotionally raw version, its soars with vulnerability...you FEEL HIS BROKEN HEART. BOTH GREAT CUTS, BUT THE PEARLS ARE IN THE WORDS!

Josh please never stop singing. Singing is your gift from God. The lord has singing Angel's, and you are one of them. You sing with passion and commitment which is heard in heaven. Be patient God is. not through with you. Tell your mother she is a beautiful spirit for sharing and raising such a marvelous young man. Be blessed.

Marc, I've seen quite a few reaction videos. I truly appreciate your ending comments. It was such a powerful message. From my understanding... Simon loss...I believe his mother a week before this Xfactor episode. I'm sure this really hits close to home for Simon and most times he is harsh, cold and unimpressed. Josh did such an amazing job in conveying raw emotions while singing. That's hard. Me... I wouldn't have made it through the song. I would choke, crack my voice and stop. Marc....when you stated, "don't choose pride, don't choose anger, choose love always"....that is hard for many people to do. Also, when you said, "holding pain & not opening up & not feeling is not 'human'.....Man! You hit that nail on the bud!! I hope many, many more people hear your message. We need it in this world. I've subscribed simply based on your ending message. Much love and blessings to you.

Marc. I can feel in my heart what you said at the end. I come from a family of 7 boys and 1 girl. and I am the youngest. in our home you did not dare to cry. a man of our family never cries is what you learned. and if I had to cry when I was young then I got beaten and then they said now you have reason to cry. crying and showing your feelings is a sign of weakness. now I am 52 years old and have had to search for years in myself and I know now someone who can show emotion is someone with a feeling and a heart. You can be tough and strong, and you can hurt everyone. but if you have feeling and understanding and compassion then you are really human. and you are full of life. I certainly still have trouble with what I have learned from my birth. but I'm far above that now. Respect Bro. Tony

I accidentally clicked out of ur video in the middle of u sharing how damaging suppressing ur emotions was & had to rush right back to hear u finish. Thank you for sharing that. I completely agree with it all & I understand. I’m trying to work on it too. I’m 25 now & it’s still hard for me, I have been telling myself it’s okay to let it out when I am in the moment & catch myself trying to hold back since I started college. It’s incredibly hard to be vulnerable, embarrassing to show any heightened/strong emotion, surprisingly even anger. Somehow if anger reaches the level of rage it becomes difficult to make it disappear/ignore/suppressing, coaxing rage is probably the hardest. But I’m trying to try every chance I get. Music & TVshows/KDramas/Movies/Books, seem to help.

Oh Marc, this is why I told you a while back that you truly are a Beautiful Soul 😊 Thank you for giving us such transparency into your thoughts and emotions. Always remember, a man who is more sensitive, tender, compassionate, sympathetic and basically communicates that he's "only human" is not a weak man but an "ideal/REAL man." To all the REAL men out there, let the tears flow free. It is not just human, it's VERY SEXY!!! 😉😘 😉😘

I was wondering myself when I watched the video what Simon had gone through because this particular performance really affected me. I found out later that shortly before this particular show Simon had lost his mother. Simon told someone later that he didn't want to bring that up because he didn't want everything to turn and be about him. But that performance definitely had a huge effect on him emotionally. I believe the guy's name is Josh Daniel who sang that song and on his page I wrote that that song was not only for him but it was for everyone who hears it. Because everyone in that audience connected with his performance emotionally. And Mark I really like the way you reviewed this video and connected with it and your remarks. Thank you... I guess I'll have to subscribe. 😎👍

Real man should cry! You don't want to be numb. Is ok to feel your emotions. Doing so makes you feel alive. I am 64 years old and is the best lesson I learned in my life. To feel is to live....
@christinedonnelly83302 жыл бұрын
I was so glad to hear you say, "Real men do cry"... YES!!! God gave us our emotions and the tear ducts to release pressure. Our emotions tell us so much, but we have not known how to deal with them. I only learned that we have good emotions and bad emotions, because I got my 5 yr old nephew who refused to acknowledge when he got mad... it took me a few years to get him to admit when he was mad. In trying to help him, I learned that there is a good mad and a bad mad, a good happy and a bad happy. A bad mad is when we don't get our way and take our anger out on others to try to get our own way. A good mad is when we see an injustice... when we see someone abusing a child, our anger should propel us to stop the abuse. A bad happy is when we use drugs or shopping to make us happy, a good happy is when we're happy with where we're at or who we're with... emotions... complex, but we can learn how to use them to help us learn about ourselves and others.

Brother, I thought you were hip to this! So first things first, thank you for being transparent with us. Hell! For being transparent with me! I used to be a mental health counselor and this was the hardest thing for men to do -- is to show vulnerability. Also good choice of music while you were rapping. Have you ever listened to the lyrics of this song. There is a line that says, "Time has brought your heart to me...." So yeah, Marc, Forces stronger than us brought us together in the stream of time. For you to have the Love Train. For me to climb on board! This ain't no joke, son! As usual, thanks for being real, bro! I love you! And I mean that! So now to my passion on KZbin...I fiercely watch these talent shows...AGT, BGT, The Voice, American Idol. I love anything to do with singing and music! How do you think I climbed aboard the Love Train? But do want a real treat? Check out this season's American Idol and look for this young brother, Michael J. Woodard! You talk about fresh, fresh talent! Although he was bounced too soon, he made his Marc on my heart! LOL! Did you get that? Again, Michael J. Woodard...the new sound is hear! Yes, I'm playing with words tonight! So as one brother to another from a different mother, I wish you LOVE, PEACE AND SOUL...…… Choo-Choo!

hi, i don't know ur name, but i subscribed. i really enjoyed the video. ur focus is impressive,, :) so, about Simon, i think it was in the middle of his finding out about his kid on the way,, and that person leaving her husband,,, blah blah,, (rich people problems),, so maybe it was like 'Can i live without her??" lol,,, prob he was hesitating. in reality he's a real a-ole. , he never married the mother of the child (his only chi ld),,, she was a NY society woman,, and those events are important. ESPECIALLY if your from the East Coast like i am. I've lived on the east coast and the west coast and Definitely of all the couple,, East coast couples see being married more important. and West Coast, different. So,, all good, thanks for the video cuz it got me chill'
