I felt so bad for Juana. She wanted Phillip's love so badly. I do hope that before he died, he really was sorry for he treated her. I like to think that in at least his own way, he did love her.

Really powerful book to check out is "Isabella the Warrior Queen" by Kirstin Downey. About Juanna's mother but it explores Juanna's experience in the end chapters. Very powerful read, I highly recommend it.

I think-at least in the movie-she was in lust/obsessed with him, though I do believe in the beginning he did love her, but she was just too obsessed with him. Doesn't make anything he did to her alright, but that's what happened back then-the infidelity, not trying to lock her up as a lunatic
