I wish I had known about his vocal insecurity years ago! I was selected to sing a magnificent solo in a chorale in which my husband and I sang. In practice I sounded amazing but when it was time to perform I froze! I was afraid people would think I thought I had a great voice. I know I can sing but I never felt my voice was anything special. My whole life might have changed if I had known I wasn’t the only one with self doubts about my vocal ability!

After listening to Dimash Kudaibergen, Josh Groban has become way less impressive to me. I like Josh, but come on America- Dimash is the best and he deserves to be a household name here.

I literally/purposefully said "I like Josh" to avoid comments like yours, but apparently its unavoidable and people will twist your words no matter what... - my main point is that Dimash deserves to be as well-known in the states as Josh is. @ Chelsea Collins - Dimash has a nice voice, but seems over ‘produced’ in comparison to Groban’s more organic voice. I would like to hear Dimash sing without all the techno influence. What I appreciate about Groban is that he can break into song in the middle of an interview and it is as authentic as any of his recordings or professional appearances. You are right that we do not have to choose, but it is a little disingenuous because you are the one who made a comparison that suggested Groban was the lesser of the two.

@@KewGardens1 Dimash has often sung acapella in the middle of interviews or during concerts/actual performances and sounds incredible. If you just google Dimash and acapella I'm sure you'll find something. And I stand by the fact that I personally find Groban "less impressive to me" (that's all I said, I didn't say Groban was bad... and I was simply stating my preference... this is a comment thread under the show "The View" after all... strange to me that people can't seem to take a differing opinion/critique... ) I grew up knowing a lot of wonderful baritones and personally never really understood why Josh Groban is as successful as he is (I attribute it to luck and hard work). Dimash can sing in a similar "popera" style as Josh but his voice ranges from baritone through soprano. And he can/has sung in like 11-12 languages and plays like 8 instruments. So yes, I find him more impressive, personally. And believe that he deserves to be more well-known in the States. That was the only point I was trying to make, no need to be so defensive (especially since, again, I said I like Josh). Hope you all have a nice night, I'm done here...
