@@robertgoerss I've only been to one of these kind of shows, but they have some guy who's in charge of telling the audience how loud to cheer and when, like a human applause sign. His job is to get the crowd in a bit of a frenzy, especially at commercial breaks. I don't know if they also play with the volume levels in the sound mixing booth; they probably don't have to.
