Hamilton is one of the most talented players that I have ever seen. And I have been watching baseball closely since ‘73. It’s a shame that when he got to the Angels he was on a downslope and injuries derailed his career, again. I would’ve love to see a healthy Hamilton and Trout play out a full season together!

I love Josh, but his defense was never great. Career .980 FLD% isn't close to Trout or even the average CF

@@paul-baseballcollector I mean, I agree it isn't close to Trout. It is close to league average however (which most seasons is around .990). He was at worst a high 4 tool player, and most would argue legit 5 before his car accident. He played CF in the majors for a decade high on drugs with a f'd up back, and still was about run of the mill. Fully healthy and sober he would've been outstanding.

He was the best player in baseball. His light was the brightest in the MLB. And then he imploded and it went as dark as it could possibly go. I miss Josh. I will never forget those magical years here in Texas.

As an Angels fan, Josh will always be my top 3 favorite players despite the drugs and things he had done to his family. Im talking strictly baseball, one of the smoothest swings of all time, the nice chill composer he had during everything he did. Had a chance to meet him during his first spring training with the Angels, he stayed after the game for about, give or take an hour, where he signed balls and bats for kids, and even took pictures with most of them. Really cool guy

My favorite player of all time ... a swing as smooth as griffey jr's 500 foot homeruns every time he got a hold of it like mickey mantle ... the great hambino could have been the greatest of all time if he never went through what he did.. he missed so much time but look how he shined when he finally made it back i really wish he could have played his full career but we all have demons in his case they were worse then most.
