More than once the Lord Jesus has done for me the sort of thing mentioned at "33:50," more than four. I'm remembering the time in a supermarket when I & my youngest kids were picking up some items & I was putting back some meat while in the check out line, because I was concerned about how much I was spending over a makeshift budget, & a lady in one of those motorized scooters next in line behind us suddenly spoke up & said, "You want that chicken?" I was like, "You want it? I was actually telling the cashier that she can put it back. But if you want them you can have them." She was like, "No, I'm asking you if you want them. Something is telling me I just have to pay for them for you." I took her up on her offer, knowing it was of my God, &, of course, I told her that her act of kindness was of God, & I thanked Him, & I thanked her. Very shortly after this, while I & my youngest children were in a Trader Joe's to pick up a few things, so few we didn't even get a cart, a Hispanic man in like his late 30s or early 40s with two little Hispanic girls with him walked up to me in one aisle after I & my kids had passed him & his girls earlier & he was like, "I don't want you to feel embarassed & odd about what I am going to say to you, since you are a man, but I feel to buy your groceries for you. I know you take care of your kids, but I just feel I need to buy your groceries. How do you feel about this?" I, of course, was blushing like crazy. At first when he was walking up to me, I didn't know what to think, & was wondering if I needed to assume a defensive stance or something, between him & I & my children. But when he said what he said to me, & I was over the shock enough to say something, I said, "Are you serious?" He reiterated that he was serious. I thanked him & said God was in it, so I would accept. He said, "Anything that you & your kids want." I was again like, "Are you serious?" He reitetated he was. I said, "Look, I will just get one of the plastic baskets, & we'll not go crazy, ok?" He was like, "Go crazy! I want you to go crazy! I want you to get whatever you want. In fact, no, you are going to need a shopping cart." What do you do when someone insists like that, & you feel the Lord in it? I was like to him, "Okay," & then to my kids, "Okay, guys, you heard what the kind gentleman said." He said, "Go ahead, & I'll find you at the cash register when you are ready," & I was like, "Okay." Sure enough he found us & said to the cashier, "I got that," & paid for what I recall as being nearly $300 worth of Trader Joe's groceries! I remember years prior to this laying on my dormroom cot at Bible college in Stockton when my school fees & expenses were so far behind that I was in danger of being kicked out of the college, & I talked to the Lord Jesus my God & I said, "Lord Jesus, You promised me that if I obeyed You & came out here to CLC You would provide for me beyond my wildest dreams, so look at what my bill is now!" While I was yet on my bed talking with the Almighty, my mother called saying, "God really loves you, for, wow, your grandaunt just called & said she wants to send you [I recall it being like nearly, if not $700+, but it was exactly the amount I needed to pay off my bill!]!" Blessed be Your Name, Father! I love You! While I was yet in Bible college, my dormmate Jeremy was telling me about a clothing store his father told him about where there was a deal that 5 suits could be bought for $500! I thought, "Well, I don't even have $100 to spare, but I'll not be negative, because, if You want me to have such, You can provide." That was Saturday. By Sunday, while I was praying for people at the altar, a lady with white hair walked up to me with a pleasant look on her face, & with her closed hand outstretched to me. I am going to shorten the story, though it had other miraculous happenings in between me & the store, but the paper she had put in my hand directed me to a particular clothing store to go pick up a suit she had bought for me, as well as a dress shirt & a necktie! The Lord Jesus had said to me when I found out what it was about, " Because you decided to not be negative, but instead had faith & said I could provide it for you if I willed to do so, I provided it to you." Way before this, while I was far more a youngster than before Bible school, I so wanted some Jamaican pastries from a Jamaican pastry store, but I didn't have so much to buy a lot after taking the buses it would require to get there. But, while I was at the bus stop, a woman got off the bus that had pulled up in front of me, & she said, "I don't even know why I got this pass, for I really don't need it," & she just then pressed it into my palm & walked off, & I was able to use it quite effectively to get to the pastry store & get more than I could have before. And I could go on & on, but not enough time & space. But I can tell you tears are streaming down from my eyes right now, because God has made Himself very, very manifest to me, & also His great love for me that just overflows me & blows my mind! I love You, Lord Jesus!
