@ yep, more than essential. Critical. A lotta folk dont realise how important he was as Lanegan's musical director. Those first 5 albums are Lanegan singing Mike Johnson compositions/arrangements. He deserved better with his solo career too.

I miss Mark so much, he died a month after another favorite singer of mine passed away, that being Meat Loaf. The winter of 2022 was a very sad time for me.

Did ya know that Gary Lee hated being mistaken for Meatloaf..Mark got em back once by yelling into a crowd that Meatloaf was right behind them ready to sign autographs. Which caused them to immediately swarm him with pens at the ready in his face. 😊 lots of fun on the road with the Screaming Trees. 😂
