Lanegan has one of the most diverse (and HUGE) catalogs of any vocalist in recent memory. I'm grateful for all of it. His voice is my favorite voice ever. 🖤🖤🖤 RIP Mark Lanegan

Respect to Mark Lanegan. A true original who always remained current. As a fellow Heroin survivor I've never read it written about so real and visceral warts n all .RIP Red.❤

Completely honored the original version, yet made it completely his own with just the sound of his voice. Near-perfect.

Finally someone gets the drumming right. If it doesn't have that bam-bam-bam (offset with bam-___-bam the next time), it doesn't carry the same feeling. I'd say make it more intense in the mix. If this band is over, that's unfortunate - sorry to learn.

Do you really feel the introduction drumming determines the feel of the entire song? This isn’t a criticism, I’m curious about your experience

I found out about Mark just before he died and only started to really listen to his catalog after his death. I'm usually quite cognizant of para-social relationships and their fruitlessness but I can't help but feel that I somehow knew him, almost like we were friends in a past life or some shit. Kinda wish I had met him but I should probably be glad I never did.
