I met Josh in Palm Springs in 2006. I usually would never go up to someone famous but I had to say something so I approached him and said “Mr. Homme. I don’t want to bother you but I needed to let you know how important your music has been to be from Kyuss to Queens. Thank you for the positive impact your art has made on me.” And he gave me a sort of cocked eye brow and went “what’s your name? Put that hand here.” And we shook hands and he said “thank you. I appreciate that” and then we release our grasp and nodded and went our ways. Huge dude and hugely standup. It was awesome.

@@ashdekanin thanks. Yea I’ve meet a few celebrities etc and he was by far the coolest. The worst was Art Alexis of ever clear. Dude was just an asshole.

I met him outside a coffee shop the morning after a show. I told him the same greeting you did and he said nah man it’s cool. They were watching wheel of fortune fails. Anyway he asked me how the show was and I told him it was excellent and I’d taken 400ug of acid. He asked how that was, and I replied that I always drop acid at your shows. He then congratulated me on my drug use and took a picture with me and then one more on FaceTime with my buddy. Check the QOTSA Reddit for any disbelief.
