It is so weird to see all a new generation talking and making videos/memes about Josh nowadays hahaha... I used to be a huge fan of his when I was in my pre-teens/teens, like 16 years ago... used to make videos on KZbin, too (made them private a while ago, for being ashamed of them haha), and I would never imagine people would talk about Josh 10 years later and bring fan videos like these as a meme... Life is crazy lol.

you do know actors can and do set restrictions on what they can be asked during an interview right? and that if he didn't want to be asked about it he could say it's off limits and not to ask him about it. actors do this all the time. And breaking those terms will result in the interviewing being admittedly ended and that reporter being blacklisted.

josh hutcherson is trending and people started making edits and calling certain edits “the josh hutcherson edit” but someone found an edit of him that was made in 2014 to the whistle song and someone posted it calling it the ACTUAL josh hutcherson edit and then the beginning of the edit or just first image from the edit which has this purplish color grade with the whistle audio playing became like a rick roll sort of meme, if you check the comments on the videos theyre usually like “istg if its that josh hutcherson whistle edit” or “i cant escape” yk stuff like that

Like he says, if you remember 'rick rolling', it's functionally just that same style of meme. Very little cohesion, just as long as the song starts playing and a particular image of josh with his hands behind his head accompanies it, that's all there is. The joke is in the abstract nature of it as well as the 'fake-out' of you not expecting it on a video tittled something like "President congratulates Josh Hutcherson" or "New marvel superhero movie leaked" or "Top 10 healthiest meals to eat in the morning". So yea- functionally, it's the same as a Rick roll.
