Josh was good playing Raphael as kind of an angry and sardonic character as he's portrayed in the movie,and actually was his original characterization in the comics. Voice actor Rob Paulsen is the best of all the VA's to voice Raphael in all of the cartoon incarnations of him because Rob had the perfect voice characterization for Raph's lighter and more sarcastic persona for the 1987 TMNT series.

DAMNIT...I just wanna hear him do that voice....he has always been my favorite raphael voice...well...as far as the movie goes...always gonna love rob paulsen...but I was so pissed as a kid when I heard a different voice for raphael in secret of the ooze...I'm still bitter about that....and of course part 3...I don't even count that garbage. I loved the platinum dunes movies, I know everyone else hated them, but If they could've got the voice actors from the old movies...I'll bet there would've been a warmer reception. I wanna hear those original voices from the first movie. I can't ever find a video of Josh doing it. I know they had the reunion recently on youtube and he read a few lines but none of them were really trying. it was kind of a let down.

Doesn't appear Josh remembers his time doing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie that fondly. He mentioned the costume being hard to endure or forgot fellow co stars and stories. I also read that the director Steve Barron got fired before production wrapped so that probably didn't help memories fondly and he chose not to return to 2nd film in any capacity!

He's a cool actor, the movie was 90% a great adaptacion of what the movie existed for: which was The Cartoon of course. But that 10% shortcoming was in fact Rafael, because Raphael is not really a hot-headed New York accent person. So Raphael is the one flaw of the film. But when he was on the rooftop fighting snapping jokes he suddenly became Rafael for a second albeit in accent. In the sequel his voice sounded much more like Raphael, and his personality was much closer to Raphael and they used a different actor. But again Jeff Pais is actually a great actor, I keep seeing him around and he's even a Ferengi in STAR TREK Deep Space Nine

seal1 the dickless Ho Sung Pak was in the Raph suit for fight scenes. You may remember him as Liu Kang in the original Mortal Kombat games.

The original stuntman broke his nose when he landed in the trashcan and the mask caved in. He was replaced by Kenn Scott who also played Raphael in the 2nd movie.
