Yeah, when people say Texas sux, I don't think they're talking about their record, Josh.

0:40 Speaking as an old Mizzou alum who remembers when the Big 8 became the Big 12, and remembers the main reason why we wanted to leave the Big 12... YES. That's really what life is like being in a conference with Texas. They dominate the conversations, the narrative always leads back to Austin. They want a bigger slice of the pie than everyone else, and if you question why- 'well, we're Texas! Everything's bigger in Texas, so our revenue share should be too! And we should have our own TV Network! Nobody wants a Big 12 Network, because Texas would have to share time with the other 11 schools, and everyone knows that Texas is the only school people want to watch!'

Sooners have 14 Big 12 titles, Texas four. OU had as many conference titles in Big 12 as the rest of the entire league combined. They absolutely RAN the Big 12. And OU is 11-4 against Texas in last 15 meetings. The amount of love Texas is getting and the amount of disrespect OU is getting is beyond ridiculous. Time will tell.

As an LSU fan I don't know who you've talked to but in the fanbase there's a lot of optimism for next year and nobody would be happy with single digits wins

I told you guys 3 years ago about Texas. Look where this is at. Horns down penalty? They haven’t played a game yet and they’re already running shit. All the SEC homers said I was full of shit and there was no way Texas was going pull that crap in OUR conference. They have all the money so they have all the power. Welcome to the NEW SEC.

i seriously don’t know where this hype from texas is coming from but remember that teams like miami have the same if not better depth on the roster like texas and ended up 7-5 last year. i heard that from analysts this morning towards their reason for them to succeed. it’s coaching. texas had one great year in a long time. south carolina went from a great year to “shane beamer needs to go.” within 1 calendar year. sark struggled with from kansas state houston and tcu. two of the three finished under .500. their SEC schedule may be on the vanilla side but there will be trap games. every team is talented, every (football) fanbase has a similar massive size with the exception of vandy kentucky missouri and mississippi state. the big-12 only had 4 teams like that, including texas and oklahoma.

TCU has consistently been better than Texas; that's not just on Sark. While Texas is on a 7-game win streak vs K-State, except for the Covid year, it has always been close. Houston, I don't have an answer for, other than Dana Holgorsen was a Big12 coach for years and knows how Texas plays. The 'gold standard' Alabama had four games (three regular season) where they won by one possession (A&M and Arkansas) and Georgia only beat Ga Tech by one possession (Auburn, too). It's why you play the game, because no player is the same in every game, otherwise their stats wouldn't change. Good people can have bad days and mediocre teams can have good days. Having stated all that, not sure where you've been college football-wise for the past few decades, but Texas has always had hype. They're the richest school in college football and it's even worse when they do well. If you're an SEC fan who hasn't paid attention to other conferences, then you're in for a rude awakening with Texas.

Yeah they are 1-1 against Bama.. imagine when they have to play 2 or 3 ina single season. Texas people live in a dream world that ends in a few months. 10.5 wins is a pipe dream
@MichaelBarker16 ай бұрын
In the last 2 years that is, 1-2 in the last 2 decades and really who cares beyond that
@benjaminfinley93146 ай бұрын
@@MichaelBarker1 Texas was better than all 3 of those Bama teams and you know it. And yeah, it makes sense that you’d say “behind that who cares”, because you know the history.

Right now sark is exactly as good as any other coach with ZERO PLAYOFF WINS. Might want to let him win something before we king him. A monkey should be able to win at Texas so is anything he has done that impressive? Let's not forget he ate his own booger on national TV and spent most of his career as a lush.

Their schedule is much more brutal and their defense is bottom tier in the SEC… OK is about to become mid and have to garner some money soon with that Venables raise… I’m afraid they are looking at 8 wins max with a bowl win
@grondhero6 ай бұрын
They'll be in the playoffs, the SEC fanboys will use them as an example of how strong the SEC is (flipping from calling them "mid-tier, at best"), then they'll choke in the playoffs like they usually do.
