These classic car restorers and sellers better get together and hire some lobbyists or their industry will be gone in 3 years. No gas and hidden laws in the infrastructure bill will tax classic car owners and make many illegal to drive on the street. Then these overpriced classics will be museum pieces with a 20% tax based on the value of the vehicle. Biden just said last week when asked about the gas prices, " buy an electric car". Call your congressman to push back. Ask them to read that bill!

Every job I've ever had...the " boss" can see I am good at what you do so they choose to belittle and berate me til I quit. Why waste the time. I guess it naked them feel better about them selves. I'll never understand and chose not to question their motives for treating good skilled workers like shit. But that is the way the world works.

I couldn't afford the insurance for muscle cars but my Mom could. She was not a street racer lol, she just liked the looks. She had a 1970 Challenger which was only a 318 cu and an automatic. I drove it once in awhile, I didn't care if it could street race or not. Then her early 70's Skylark was great. It had a 400 cu and was very fast. It would surprise a lot of people how fast it was. Even with an automatic it would would win street races. I wish I still had either car. I also wish she would have tuned the Skylark more often, the back firing once cost me a race.

Josh WAS marks son in law and when your dealing with $100,000 cars and deadlines I'm sure it gets frustrating when you see the crew goofing off. Personally I couldn't work with Daren he's the type that rather trying to work hard and make himself look good he puts others down to take the attention away from the absolute nothing he is doing. Paying the amount of money people do to have these cars rebuilt, perfect is the only thing that is satisfactory. Daren need to understand he could be working the AutoZone counter instead of working on rare classic cars everyday.

Sorry but those with integrity know if someone is starting a new job with you and gave notice to his current job, you allow him to fulfill it. Who would expect a new employee to just walk off their current job? That would speak on how he’ll treat you as an employer down the road. Unless Josh decided to walk out & it wasn’t the new job trying to get him to start w/out fulfilling his commitment to Mark
@todddenio32002 жыл бұрын
When I was able to work before becoming disabled from a severe spinal injury, I was a perfectionist and worked in a couple shops before going out on my own. I wasn’t fired from either of them - I QUIT of my own choice both times for multiple reasons including stress and concern that I was going to snap and probably end up in jail, a psych ward, or worse because of both bosses being narcissistic tyrants who although were turning out beautiful finished vehicles were doing so at the cost of the employees health both physically and mentally. I see a lot of those 2 ex-bosses in Mark all too often. Josh stayed there and put up with more than I would have after what I went through with my old bosses. At some point Mark is going to push the rest of his crew too far and he will either lose all of them or one of them snap and take him down a peg or 5. Yes he is talented but he is also a Moparized version of another perfectionist who was highly respected but became so full of himself that he destroyed himself and lost it all before he died. Does anyone remember that guy? He was a hot rodder, started making his own line of billet wheels and other accessories. His name rhymes with NOYDD. I see mark going down the same path

I owned and operated my 6 bay garage auto repair business for 25 years and never seen a owner like Mark that has to tell his workers what has to be done everyday. Show like this needs to be drama's to get a good ratings. Has anybody seen Bar Rescue with Jon Taffer? Yell in front of the customers and throws the trays around. No business would stay open to be laugh at by Tv viewers. I hired students from Porter and Chester school from Chicopee, Mass. I taught them how to be a very good technician and I had to sell the Garage to be treated for lung cancer and had to retire this year. My best guys bought the garage from me.
