The trick is to flush/fill the heater core with white vinegar. Let sit for 24 to 72 hours, then flush with water. Then fill with a product like CLR or Iron Out, and let sit another 24 to 72 hours. Then flush again with hot distilled water. Refill best you can with 50/50 coolant/distilled and bleed it with car parked angle upward about 40 degree angle, nose up. You have to let the cleaners sit for a few days. That's the trick. They need time to dissolve the mineral or gunk.

Unfortunately, we’ve been unsuccessful in pinpointing the issue. There will be another segment as soon as we locate the source of the issue

The car suffered some new and interesting issues one of which involved a radiator rupture. This was followed by immobilization for more than a week. The end story is the heat somewhat functions now subsequent to the radiator replacement and an update is coming soon.

It appears to have actually been the radiator. The radiator failed and... upon replacement, the heat began working. This doesn’t make much sense to us but... it is what it is.
