Then to tend to fire under all conditions is a whole other time learning experience. And lives are on the line to have that fire. The long term resources needed. Yea, and it's 'just' fire.

Oh yes, and this is so next level of next level because to tend fire means a constant reconsideration if where you are and what your intention is with the fire and this is just the beginning.

I don't agree with much of the reasoning, but the conclusion -- that we need mythic language to adequately address and think about such a large subject -- seems spot on.

The adolescent in me has the problem with technology that there is no wiggle room…no human to make a deal with…yes…you can’t get away with “anything”…you are always wrong and the machine can’t make a deal…no kabitzing(Yiddish for make a deal have things your way)… not so much being dishonest.
