25:00 That's actually not entirely correct. Some only have a single correct path (like The Warlock of Firetop Mountain) but some also have several paths (Scorpion Swamp for example). The Warlock of Firetop Mountain was actually one of the factors that got me interested in Fantasy when I played the book for the first time back in 1985 as a ten year old. Ahhh....good old memories....

This particular game book is really tough because the odds of you winning(even with perfect choices) are almost entirely dependent on the skill stat, and even then it's at most a 90% chance to win(vs less than 1% for skill 9 or less). It's like Ian heard how the previous book was considered easy after a few playthroughs and decided hia next one should be mostly impossible.

The funniest part of this video has gotta be Josh saying Duskmourne is much slower than the previous sets, when it brought us the joy of having Leyline of Resonation in standard mono-red, which had like 30% chance of having lethal on turn 2 and over 50% chance of having it turn 3, to the point where Leyline had to be banned in Bo1 standard.

I haven't finished the stream yet so you may be told or find this out and I haven't seen it yet, but yeah, leaving the caverns was actually "DLC". The original adventure was published in the Warlock magazine, I think, and it was either when actually printed as a book or on a reprint that you got the second extended part.

at least Josh has learned that burning points of luck to potentially do singular extra points of damage in a fight, is a bad idea. I forget when, but in one of the previous books he used luck in a combat where the enemy had significantly lower skill AND had an even number of stamina points. ie: spending luck in that situation was both unnecessary, and had no potential positive outcome, only negative. though, he did use the term 'burn the luck' so maybe he knew in his heart of hearts

Who comes up with football chants? Fans, especially more organized supporter groups. How come everyone knows them? The lyrics are simple to remember, if you go to a match and sit among the fans, you're going to remember them. Also, because they're a set of chants, repeating themselves. It's not like people invent them non-stop. Is there a secret meeting? No need. I mean, organized fan groups, like ultras groups, do have meetings, organizing stuff for the next match, but as a regular fan you don't need to attend to know the chants. When you hear the same chant 10 times throughout a match... you'll get the hang of it.

This book is the equivalent of that DM who is tired of his own campaign and just trying to kill the group so he can get on with something else :D This is one of the weaker books imo, as it is straight up just unfair from the start. So many 50/50 chances, that one must be the luckiest sob on the planet to finish the book without creative book-keeping so to speak.

Someone did the math and even with optimal choices you need a minimum of 12 skill, 10 luck, and 18 stamina in your starting stats to have a more than 50% chance of clearing the book wtihout cheating.

27:40 You are NOT going to survive on a Skill of 7. I've done Caverns before and you really do need at least 11 Skill, preferably 12 if you can. 10 may just about be doable if you have very high Stamina and Luck scores, and 9 and below is just doomed from the very start.
