Check out the post-race interviews from the third round (The General) of the 2024 GNCC series from Washington, Georgia at the Aonia Pass MX park. History was made when XC2 (250) rider Josh Toth started at the second gate to catch and pass all the XC1 riders to be the first XC2 rider to overall a GNCC. The XC1 rider Jonathan Girroir won his class but placed second overall to the XC2 racer Josh Toth for the first time.

All these rider look so young now. It is hard to believe I started reading DB magazine over 40 years now, even hard to believe Wolfman and Ron are still involved. RIP super hunky. Awwww man where did all the years go

The difference is ...at a GNCC 95% of the spectators are also participants. Great for the sport!

Why is Toth racing xc2? He’s an xc1 racer. This is like taking a step back to B class for a rider like him. I’m confused.

Same here. I know Josh has made decisions about his own riding future that did not align with big corporate and that cost him factory sponsorship. However, it didn't make him a different rider. Well, he is a different rider actually but likely more experienced and well rounded. I'm pumped to see him win an overall. i suspect it will not be the last. Big corporate has trained us to believe that their money is required to succeed. A few privateers are debunking that deception. All that said, I do not know how he got on the XC2 line either.

Both classes are pro level, it’s not a step back. FYI. XC2 are just as fast as XC1 guys.
