A Long Black Train showcases his low deep voice like no other song He's done

Josh Turner is a very religious person and is a absolutely great guy his wife is his keyboard player in his band and his first big hit was Long Black Train that he wrote great reaction

Speaking of bass voices, there was JD Sumner, who at one point held the record for the lowest note ever hit by a human being. JD Sumner and the Stamps were a gospel group who often sang with Elvis. As for this Josh Turner selection, I was sitting in a restaurant 28 years ago when someone played the Eric Clapton version of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" and I cried my eyes out. My Dad had died a month before, and that old spiritual went straight to the deepest part of my soul.

You'd probably like "Would You Go With Me." It's in more of a bluegrass style, but Josh sings in a lower register for most of the song. As for bass voices in general, check out "Ring of Fire" by Home Free, which features Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix, another acapella group). Two basses in one song, and the last low note in the song is ridiculous.

Randy Travis and Josh Turner 3 wooden crosses. Randy Travis has a deep voice, that Josh Turner looked up to and then he came out singing and then up and comer, Scotty McCreery, who won American Idol back a few years grew up listening to and idolizing Josh Turner and they all have that deep deep voice.... Scotty McCreery "5 more minutes" would be a good one to listen to. Josh Turner has a song out called "Long black train" that is one of my favs.

Great reaction! I too like the more emotional version of the song. However, this being upbeat, reminded me of the upbeat tempo of the Jazz funerals in New Orleans. They play very mournfully on the way to the cemetery but joyfully afterwards. This is like the country version of New Orleans funerals...a celebration.

There is one voice who I believe goes deeper AND QUIET POSSIBLY THE VERY BEST in base vocals. that is one whom you will have to check out for yourselves.. Also the entire quartette have the best harmony I have ever heard.. Fortune/Walker/Rogers/Isaacs - You’re Only Lonely (otherwise known as Brotherly Love... ) BUT Josh Turner is one of the very best beyond doubt.

Howdy miss Rogue. So you like some bass? Try some Voiceplay or their bass singer, who has his own channel, Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci. A Capella pop with THE lowest bass I ever heard and I grew up in church and sing bass myself. You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO listen to either of these 3 songs: Sixteen Tons cover by Geoff, Misty Mountains cover by Geoff or My Mother Told Me by Voiceplay from the TV show VIKINGS. Please treat yourself to some AMAZIN sangin!

For myself this is a black mans song and should be sung with the deep southern drawl. You have had to go through the pain to give this song it's just deserves. This is way to jolly for an old segregated song and the pain of being made to feel inhuman as many blacks were. You need to have had to go through slavery followed by out and out racism to justify yourself singing this great song. Etta Jones version for me is way better.
