I like Josh, have watched all his videos. This was among the least enjoyable, and it's not about politics. It felt like I was watching a below average infomercial. Borderline masturbatory. Fawning over the crew, uniforms, how handsome they are. You like the new airport and fleet and menu, all good- it's your gig. But way over the top with nauseating praise. And gushing over Crown Prince MBS was bizarre.

Interesting to see the level of outrage in the comments when it comes to Saudi Arabia, especially after such a great review of Saudi Airlines, which is clearly improving. And I believe this review wasn’t even sponsored. Maybe Josh should show them the receipt for his flight ticket just to calm them down. It’s ironic to see people from the US and European countries so quick to criticize, yet often stay silent or even support governments involved in serious human rights violations, like the genocide happening in Gaza... If we’re going to talk about human rights, let’s not forget the atrocities funded and supported by Western nations. Selectively pointing fingers while ignoring the issues in your own backyard only reveals double standards and a lack of genuine concern. In conclusion, criticism should be fair and balanced. As usual Josh, great review. Keep up the great work

We fly Saudia business two years ago ATH - JED - MNL roundtrip. ATH - JED - ATH was not bad at all. JED - MNL food was same like on economy. From MNL to JED they downgrade us to economy and no help or compensation at all. My wife got diaria from food and stayd at hotel couple days when we went to Athens. Luggages was missing and got those two days later. So our vacation at Athens was ruined. Only ones i got replay from Saudia, thay say " help yourself " That is how the Saudia customer care works.

Great update review. I flew with them in business after you recommendation from your previous video. Really enjoyed the flight and a great airline. The price was amazing for business class, I don’t really drink so I wasn’t bothered about it being a dry airline. I did look again to book with them but noticed prices are slowly starting to escalate and are now on par with other airlines if in future they have a good price I would certainly fly them again.

As I understand it, the Koran forbids the imbibing of alcohol, not the serving. Plenty of Muslim national carriers serve alcohol onboard to non-Muslims (eg Malaysia Airlines). Refusal to serve alcohol to non-Muslims is just pushing their beliefs on other religions, not an Islam requirement.

When you were talking about the amenity kit I knew you were gonna say I’ll put Cahill key chain in it lol 😂 any ways as for the soup I just flew Swiss to Athens Greece they had soup as well and then flew on United’s Polaris first class from Paris to Chicago and they also had soup I thing they are bringing the soup back to the airlines they always bring it back then they take it away it’s hard to eat soup while flying sometimes and another amazing review keep it up Josh !!!

You get mushroom and tomato soup because those ingredients contain more MSG than most other foodstuffs. In airliner cabin conditions (low pressure, low humidity) our sense of taste is greatly diminished, except for umami. Umami sense is caused by MSG, hence the generous use of tomato, mushroom, cheese and meat. which are richer in MSG. (MSG in this case is Mono-Sodium Glutamate, not Madison Square Garden.)

Concerning the Qatar Airways Amenity Kit you mentioned: Yes it might have less items in it than the one you receive at Saudia. But it definitely does not contain no-name products. You should look up the brand Diptyque. Toothbrushes etc. are available in the lavatories aswell.

Awh! the kit looks amazing! the colours first off are super! the hair brush and key chains are my fave! let alone anything else.. :) A Passport cover ?? Sweet! the pouch is legit and a good size... it's my birthday in 2 weeks! so. I have to comment just incase I stand a chance! i wish all airlines would not allow any children in first class or business until they are 18 .. for the peace of passengers .. these children don't know any better.. and premium paying tickets I tend to pay for that to be away from that... seems more common now... and I dont get it from the perspective of a child and then the audacity to let them run around is weird.. like McDonalds ..

I believe the green item is to wrap around your bag handle so your bag can’t hurt your hands. Saudi needs to work on women’s rights and that is probably why the mother is flying economy. I’m glad you enjoyed the new uniforms Josh. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

That green mystery item from the amenity kit is a wrap to go around the handle of a roller bag so make the grip more comfortable. And if you think Armani is more impressive than Diptique…people who really know luxury know that Qatar’s new offering in its minimalist amenity kits/boxes is so much more superior to any other brand offered! As to your end question: Being dry isn’t the reason I wouldn’t fly this airline nor the new one they’re starting up. I’ve endured Egyptair with alcohol so maybe you can figure out another reason many of your followers wouldn’t be caught dead on this airline given the special cargo it flew a few years ago from IST!

13:52 A dry airline isn’t the worst thing in the world, but the alternative offerings should be thought out; fresh squeezed juice; a variety of coffee and tea with small craft milk, creams and honey. Nothing should be off the shelf or homogenized or pasteurized or Whole Foods

Very nice video Josh. Yes Saudi seemed to have improved their service by what I saw on this video. How ever I think they went above and beyond with you because they knew you were Josh Cahill the flight You Tuber. The food did look Delicious!, but the problem with majority of airline food is there heating it up not enough or over heating drying out. The alcohol not being served on the airline is a BIG problem. They say they are a dry Country BS on that. I've family here in Canada serving our country working for the Federal Gov't and they say when Saudi royalty travel out of the Kingdom they drink like horses at a water trough. So this non drinking is BS. One of the main factor's I would never fly Saudi Airlines is because Saudi Arabia has one of the world's worst human rights records and treat their women like 3rd class citizen's. Just like you proved on this flight husband and kids in business wife in economy. As long as Salman bin Abdulaziz is around nothing will change. I'm sorry for throwing politics into this comment, but it must be mentioned. To have real changed in the positive the Saudi government must change their ways.

I don't get it, when Josh posts a negative review he gets hammered he's just about clicks. Now he posts a positive review and he's getting pushback from some viewers. Was he recognized?. Probably, he's a well known professional traveller and can't help it if a crew member recognizes him. I don't think it influenced his review which I found to be balanced. He's already replied clarifying he fully paid for this flight. I also don't think his comment about Saudi Arabia being an upcoming destination means an endorsement of the political system in the country, it's just a thought shared with his audience. To think otherwise means he just wouldn't be able to fly many airlines due to political sensitivities, this is a travel community, not a political one.

I think it’s great that a new airline in the Middle East is upping its game. The big 3 have rolled the monopoly and it’s nice to see both Saudi and Kuwait in the mix. Love the new cabin and I think if more airlines took advice like Saudia , air travel could go back to the glory days of travel. Would be nice to see more of the flights in economy especially longer : medium haul.

Hi Josh, the green eyeglass cover shaped piece of material in the amenity kit is a seat belt cover. I have one and put it on my car seatbelt so it doesn’t rub on my neck as much. You can also use it for a glasses case, but just be careful because the glasses can slip out because it has holes in each end and your glasses can slip out.

I had a chat with them on Dubai Airshow, and they were announcing these changes. Glad I see them. However, it might be on selected routes... I was flying with them EU - JED - BKK/KL which was fine, but I was also flying EU - JED - CGK and that was horrible on both routes... so it really depends.

I flew Saudia in Economy last March, it was so good. One of the best experiences I ever had in Economy. You get a wet towel, good food, eye mask, socks and toothbrush with toothpaste. I was really surprised of the service. JED was also very good, especially that Saudi burger restaurant, it was cheap for an airport restaurant and taste good. One thing they can do better is to teach some airport staff English, since some of them couldn't understand what I wanted... @JoshCahill, you should try their Economy in the future!
