BIG FISH Lurk Under This Tiny Bridge!
Gday everyone and welcome back. After having a rough couple weeks today it was all about trying to catch a few fish. And instead of using the regular spinning out fit to chase some fish, i decided to use my bait caster combo. With fish activity ratings it was set to be a good outing. And it certainly was with a bunch of fishing landed!!

Here's some useless information for you, Josh. Back in the mid-'80s, when I was a kid, my father owned a small sports & tackle shop. I can remember a sales rep coming around spruiking a new type of lure - a soft plastic called a Mr Twister. I am reasonably sure that they were the first soft plastics on the market in Australia. It is impressive to see how far they have come. Keep posting great content, mate.

@@joshdfishing, I think that I still have a few lurking in the bottom of an old tackle bag. If so, I will send them your way. Flatties still smash them, but the original 'tail' is so thin that you nearly have to replace the plastic after each bite. I also have some Nilsmaster lures my father purchased in 1982 to catch Barramundi in the NT. I sometimes forget just how old these items are getting - a bit like me :)

quick tip for that baitcaster; if you slightly lay your thumb back onto the spool before the lure hits the water you can stop any overspooling and backlashing, so you can get away with loosening the spool tension allowing further casts. love the videos mate keep it up

Well it depends. I’m starting to use weedless jighead more for structure areas as I won’t get snagged up as easy. Although you don’t hook as many fish. And I’ve found when using a weedless the weight is more in the middle of the lure and not right on the front, so you get a more natural fall. And it’s more natural when slow winding👍🏼
