I've found small hay bales at one of the dollar stores before, they are in the neighborhood of the proper size. They are easier to find in the late summer/early fall for decorating. One very realistic feature is that they litter everywhere, just like the real thing.

I’m officially hooked on the scale side of the hobby thanks to your channel. I have a RC4WD K10 in the mail on the way to Crawler Canyon for review and tweaking. Thanks again for your contribution to the hobby 👏

Too bad the trucks don't come with holes in the bed like the real ones did, it would look a lot more scale if they slipped into bed. You could always use extra fine flat head dressmakers/sewing pins to act as nails and hold the slats together while adding to the scale look. You can get them almost everywhere all you'd have to do is cut them to length and push/pound them in. 👍👍
