Okay so totally Random. But the first time i heard this rendition was in highschool (2015?) I had started playing Skyrim for the first time,was able to open one gift early and it was that. I had the radio on the Christmas station*because i always liked Christmas music and Christmas was literally a day or two away* and this rendition came on and completely blew me away. Mixed with exploring the snowy terrains of the "throat of the world", that was truly the last moment i felt that Christmas magic...matter of fact im pretty sure that was our last Christmas as a family

This song came out during WW2 . My Mom told me how it made her feel each Christmas my Dad was gone . Can't help but think of them together on their first Christmas after he returned home . This is one of the most touching versions of this song . As always Josh is the best !

ftmillguy this is probably an odd response as your original comment was made over two years ago, and it is also currently June, which is not a normal time it be listening to Christmas music... but regardless, I have a fact! This song was actually released during the interwar period, but it was not successful at all. It was then re released during WWII and became an instant success because it was so incredibly relevant and relatable for so many families.

I had this CD and i would listen to it every 🎄 Christmas as my Dad was dying from Cancer and my mother was very sick and dying they both lived in an Assisted living facility I cried every 🎄 Christmas listeing to this Beautiful song.Both my parents have since passed and now I listen to this song in rememberance of my Oldest Brother Dr Desmond Nunan who died of a Brain annyuerism so now I listen to this song remembering all of my 👪 I 💘 you Mom And Dad and Desmond my brother God Bless all of our Military Thank you for your service my Dad was in the military also This is BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING SONG

I really love this music, my Dad was in the military but never went into bombat. He told me the reason why he didn't go, he thinks that God doesn't want him to go to war. I believe He wanted my Dad to stay, because we want him around with us. I'm glad God spared his life and he never got back in the military ever again.
