as someone who's been a fan of McAvoy since Children of Dune, it's so nice to hear it talked about in this interview! Also great to hear he thinks he hasn't done enough scifi and would love to do more. And more comedy! (we're all hoping he and Fassbender get back together someday, the two of them in a comedy would be amazing).

He really needs to do more movies or series in his natural accent. He's brilliant in Filth because he's acting in his own accent but not as glasweign because it's set in Edinburgh. But that's my opinion because I'm scottish lol I usually find that actors just shine when they're acting in their natural accent.

What director was he referring to for his worst direction?
@ericgershilevich71904 ай бұрын
Possibly David Yates? He directed all six episodes of "State of Play" from 2003, which McAvoy has a part in, and had just directed a miniseries called "The Way We Live Now" two years prior that has a lot of woods scenes as referenced. It also informs McAvoy not really being interested in the Harry Potter question because Yates has a big hand in those films. Could be wrong though, doesn't exactly line up with him saying he was just about to do "The Last King of Scotland" which came out in 2006. However, that film could've been in production earlier in like 2004 or 2005.
