Joshiro Maruyama Road to Gold at Masters 2018

Japanese Joshiro Maruyama killing it at the Judo Maters 2018 at Guangzhou, China winning all his fights with great throws.
He has already won Hifumi Abe at the Osaka Grand Slam, is he going to become the new #1 in the world?

Abe and Maruyuma are very very good. Isoda is not far behind too. It's very interesting because Maruyama beat Abe in Tokyo just few weeks before and won in golden score. Very tough choice but it will be Abe or Maruyama for Olympics.

a10 Not Tokyo but Osaka Actually people doesn’t know except Abe so much because of the existence of him but Maruyama is very strong!! For my opinion Abe is a little bit stronger than Maruyama , Isoda and Tagawa are chasing right now. But there is a chance Maruyama overwhelm Abe near future with high possibility!!

@@andyandy8560 i think Abe has more range of Waza. Maruyama relies too much on Uchimata and if that doesnt work he uses Tomeo Nage or Sode tsurikomi goshi. Abe has a more diverse range of technique, ive seen him win with Tai Otishi, Ogoshi/Tsurikomi Goshi, Seo Nage, Osoto etc. But its very interesting to see who comes out on top. No doubt Abe and Maruyama will fight each other again
