The rings are used as weasand clips to stop the contents spilling out and ruining the meat. They're used in freezing works extensively.

@@bush600r2 If the meat is to be sold commecially there are food safety regs to consider. HACCP principles are used in factories to manage food safety standards, I imagine this would apply in the field as well for commercial operators. Preventing contents from contaminating meat is a critical control point.

The reels are Shimano tiagra 50 wides. Not sure what the rods are, bit the buts have all cracked so they don't sit in the gimbal. The best rod is the kilwell

The government spread a poison called 1080 over all our forest's. They are doing thier best to eradicate deer. We are allowed to shoot as as many deer as we want. There is no limit. The helicopter companies can shoot as many deer as they want, so they can export the meat to Germany. It's crazy
