Dont get me wrong, the Hozier rendition is angelic with its reverb. The Collum McGuiness rendition is complete with verses and instrumentation. However your version makes it feel more real. Like I just ducked into a pub to get out of the rain and one of the locals is already singing.

Since there are too many lyrics available: Heard lyrics for this magnificent version: "Let your quacks and newspapers be cutting their capers Bout curing the vapors the scratch and the gout With their powders and potions, their serums and their lotions Upholding their notions, they're mighty put out. Would you know the true phyic to bother pathetic To pitch to the divil, cramp, colic and spleen You'll find and I think if you take a wee drink With your mouth to the brink of a glass of whiskeen Stick to the cratur' the best thing in nature For sinking your sorrows and raising your joys Oh what botheration, there's no dose in the nation Can give consolation like whiskey me boys. So come guess me this riddle, what beats pipes and fiddles What's stronger than mustard and milder than cream What best wets your whistle, what's clearer than crystal Sweeter than honey and stronger than steam What'll make the dumb talk, what will make the lame walk, What's the elixir of life and philospher's stone And what helped Mr. Brunnell to dig the Thames Tunnel Sure wasn't it whiskey from ould Inishowen So stick to the cratur' the best thing in nature For sinking your sorrows and raising your joys Oh lord, I'd not wonder, if lightning and thunder Was made from a plunder of whiskey me boys"

I'm german, so there were a few places where it didn't make sense to me written down but it sounded like that to me and I went ahead and wrote it down. @oakleaf153 ай бұрын
@@joshokeefeofficial No way! If that's the case it must feel very cosy in there. When you visit Greece, apart from the more famous parts and the islands, which are very nice in their own right and definitely worth visiting, i would strongly suggest you also look into the more mountainous regions which are a bit less internationally popular. Arcadia ,for example, is a region in the middle of Peloponnese, with Mt. Parnon and Mt.Mainalo which have many small villages you can stay in. Also, I've heard great stuff about Pilion, Zagoroxoria, and Meteora (the last one is a huge rock formation with a complex of monasteries on top). Also, the lesser advertised islands are just as beautiful and you get a more authentic experience. Sorry for the long reply and I would love to hear your suggestions for a trip to Ireland. Keep up the good work ☺️
