Just hearing about this artist after seeing the Billions Season 2 finale (awesome program btw), but this artist absolutely blew my mind and I've spent the better part of the day checking out Josh Ritter's other material. Projections for the future are absolutely sky rocket worthy. Hopefully on his way to Western Canada sometime in the future!

I feel a change in the weather, I feel a change in me, The days are getting shorter and the birds begin to leave, Even me, yes, yes, y'all, Who has been so long alone, I'm headed home, Headed home The nights are getting colder now, The air is getting crisp, I first tasted the universe on a night like this, A box of wine, and I'll abide, In the hunger in her eyes, In a place where the tree of good and evil still resides, Still resides Homecoming, Homecoming, homecoming, She said "show me what you got, babe, I'm not like other girls", Just give me your bad self And a place for us to make a stand and I can move the world Lift the valley from the floor, honey, It'll turn to the sky, They'll say that it's a miracle and you'll know damn well they're right, Damn well they're right Homecoming, (Don't go away now) Homecoming, homecoming, (Don't go away now) Homecoming, (Don't go away now) Homecoming, homecoming, (Don't go away now) (Hey now) When the oracle spoke to me she was like a roadside song, (Don't go away now) Do unto others as you would have them do, Even if in turn they do you wrong, (Hey now) This town right here is my everything, Though I've been torn away, (Don't go away now) It has my heart, It has my heart, They stole my heart, My heart is there, (Hey now) My heart is there, My heart is there, (Don't go away now) Get just a little bit higher, Get a little tongue tied, Gonna try to find whatever ever made time, That kind of immemorial, That time before the fall, That time before the autumn Really turned the corner Drive east of Eden, 'Till we start to feel the west, You were never far from nowhere, You could see it from the edge of town, Honey, baby, wonder how it feel now, Somehow I can't believe that it could feel like the four, but, The air's getting colder now, The nights are getting crisp, I first tasted the universe on a night like this, And I'll abide a box of wine, And the hunger in her eyes, In a place where the tree of good and evil still resides, Homecoming, Homecoming, homecoming, (Homecoming) Homecoming, Homecoming, homecoming, (Homecoming) Homecoming, Homecoming, homecoming, (Don't go away now) Homecoming, (Don't go away now) Homecoming, homecoming...

this song is fabulous, I loved the world cafe performance ... too exhausted to keep my eyes open, held as hostage beaten bruised cut open hands around my throat choking now left alone 3rd floor freezing cold attic... my Beloved asked me to wait til late spring - it is winter, clearly he is late and now it is just too cold to sleep in the forest or on the street... all I know is love would never do this to me...

Josh, this song reminds me of what life was like the summer and falls in CDA & Spokane Valley. Living carefree when bad things felt so good and right. Sun up to sun down, a keystone light to shotgun only bad thing is when the cops would come round'. Sitting next to the guy I never thought I'd get, touching his thigh inching closer and closer with mine and him reciprocating with his hand wanting more of it. A magnetic connection, it felt so right. I've never felt that confident. Being so happy and young wearing a sundress knowing the boys liked it but could never touch me. Until they did one night 😢 That's life though right? Move on without answers, enjoy your life people say, but as I find out they now live their lives happily with wives and babies, I always wonder- Does he ever think about me and know how badly he scarred me? By simple silence or by walking up my stairs to my lifeless body, Two different accusations. Silly I know, but yeah I guess that's life... 2 men that altered my heart and mind. One for a moment, it was good but the wrong time. 2 kegs can't go to waste, drink up, yeah that's fine. Throwing rocks up at my window, man I felt so high on life Too bad that's the last memory I have of that night. I wish you could've looked me in the eyes. "Please don't tell anyone" oh you mean your girlfriend? Sure no worries, have a nice life. And that you did- a nice lil pro cheerleader to fold your crooked life. Then another text, but it wasn't you... A week later "we should do that again" "Do what again? It was you?! Please don't tell anybody" Sorry stupid comment I was just writing with the beat because it's one of my favorites and helps me work through... A sexual assault. I'm using writing to help remember more in therapy. Great song, love pnw or nw always.
